http://www.RacingSolution.com ... I haven't seen the dyno runs but it should only increase both horsepower and torque, even on an N/A motor

you can also find it on trdsparks.com

Here's the link to our exhaust page and we've been told that the HP increase is 6 to 8. We just dropped the price on this exhaust.

one last question before i purchase the injen exhaust......... is it possible to install it yourself without having to lift the car up at all? Do you just unbolt the rear section thats on there now and put on the injen or what?

It is possible to do yourself, but I'm hearing that you may want to lift it some to make it easier. I would personally want a bit of lift.

That's probably right and add in the filter that comes with it and you should see 6.

wow 5hp out of an axlebak? im convinced but how about warranty issues, what would be voided?

installed my injen axelback a few days ago...... SOUNDS GREAT!!!! also, im pretty sure adding that alone will have no effect on the warranty

There is no way a quality axleback can damage anything .All the clamps and the design are well thought out remember they have to prove that the part you installed caused something to go bad. Also they must provide written proof of this , an axleback will not cause any damage to any part of the drivetrain if properly installed.

i just installed min today and ive been out with my friends from around 6:30pm when i got this done till now 1:30am and it sounds good untill your going 50mph or above the exhaust is realy loud. a good loud but still loud. i like it and i should have pics up on my cardomain some time this week it took me about 25 min. to install it. the only thing i realy didnt like abou the install was that i had to go buy new nuts for the injen exhaust becouse the factory nuts are welded to the flange and the injen didnt come with any (or i couldnt find them in the over sized box full of paper) other then that it was easy and well worth the cash but be know when you go to order it it's realy loud

mine came with some stainless bolts. Thats wierd that yours didnt. In my case however it didnt come with instructions. Hey does your imjen rub up against the optional bodykit? i know mine does. Well besides that minor issue i love the injen unit it sounds great especially when the tranny downshifts. Sounds deep throaty nothing like that drexas unit lol. Oh and i got 5hp and 4tq out of it. with out intake.

install yourself!!!, i did it without lifting the car, and only took about 15 mins, not including the time to go buy new nuts. all you have to do is unscrew the 2 bolts and remove the rear section from the hangars, then replace it with the injen and put the bolts on, quick and easy

aarontrini85
02-27-2005, 04:49 AM
i did it easy to but it was a little hard getting under the car since im fat and my car has the trd coils

ok well if any one has pics of the actuall installation that would be very helpful. but basically all there is to it is unscrewing a few bolts?

I parked the car on a double sidewalk gave me a gap in the middle of about 2 feet for me to work under the car, safest route no lifting. Let the car cool down did it in about 30 min. All you need is 2 pairs or 1 of flat head screwdrivers , WD 40: very important with out it it will be tough to remove the rubber holders from the muffler hanger, spray the wd 40 on the rubber holders and hangers spray plenty, then lift up the edge of rubber hanger with screwdriver and spray some in the exposed area, do that to all hangers and rubber holders, this will make them slip out much quicker. Also a properly sized wrench will be needed and thats it very easy stuff and it gives you a great view of the independent suspension :)

exaclty what he said. all it takes is looking at the rear section under the car for you to see how easy it is to replace

no melting apparently the tip dosent get hot enough to melt the rear bumper. There is a small black mark the paint did burn off . However its very small and cant be seen im going to try to remove then refit the muffler see if that helps.

They wouldn't give me any dyno numbers but I'm told to expect gains in the 6-8 range, with a "throaty but subdued" sound.

http://www.borla.com/applications/lookup.aspx/2005/Scion/tC/Rear_Section/11743/

Anyone hear anything about this setup?
