I'm looking to purchase one, Yet I'm not sure how the backing grill is attached. I currently have a RS1 grill and don't want to hack it up for install.
So if anyone has one, could you let me know how it mounts and how you installed it. Thanks in advance

wanting to know the fitment, i ordered a badgeless grill off ebay and it was not even close, wasnt to thrilled of altering my car to make it fit.

 

id love to buy one, but dont have that kind of money, now if they made one in carbon fiber, id be all over it

 

Same here. Dam ebay grills... I've been looking at the rs3 replica grill too and would also like to hear some reviews. Also +1 for carbon fiber

 

i emailed them about this a while back...they said it installed just like the factory grill and yes, each one is handmade in fiberglass so of course they said the fitment wouldnt be perfect...you would have to do some sanding and trimming to make it fit like the OEM.

 

I'm just curious of how it mounts.. to the grill...

 

why dont you email them and ask?

 

I did, They didnt give me much info.. they said someone was buying one in a few weeks and that they would take pics... I just wanted to take advantage of the 10 off thing.

 

like I said, it mounts the same way as the OEM...pop the original one out and put the RS one in

There is a thread about it somewhere here on SL. The thing is its just the "bezel" ..not the grille itself. Its a piece that covers whichever grille you have, and modification may be necessary according to Racing Solution.

 

hmm it is going to be really hard to work that around anything other than the stock grill, so anyone with VRD's/Fig's/Jonny Designs grills might have to trim a bit more, that is if it fits perfectly

You might want to ask that again. I'll go ahead and get ahold of them and ask too. I plan on purchasing one sometime within the next month or two.

 

Not to jump in but those RS3 White Bezels are goofy not a fan stock looks so much better. Yes I'm entitled to my own opinion.

 

Indeed you are, however perhaps the alure the RS3 holds on most is that no other RS model or tC model year has something for the grill other than a redesign here and there of the grill itself.

Too each their own, I assure you...but difference does unite us all.

 

i ordered the RS3 grill and should be gettin it tom. i was told it "mounts" with 3m tape. as soon as i get it on ill let yall kno and post pics
