Default blah problems

ok I Just installed my injectors (630cc)

three of them seated fine no problem, the 4th seated in the block but will not seal to the fuel rail. O-ring looks fine, Its not sitting at a funny angle or anything I dont think.

They came with thicker orings on them but the other three work fine, so should I try the thicker o-ring or just play with it, or is there some trick im missing?

iv always reused the stockers (o-rings that is), not a bad idea to get a new set of stock o-rings unless for some oddball reason they dont work with your perticular injectors

well I have siemens 630, and there is a lot of space between the the two ridges the o-ring goes in, might as well try the bigger one

does anyone know how tight the nuts should be?

Nuts will tighen down snug. the plastic rail spacers will stop them! also did you put injector lube on the orings? you didint try to put them in dry did you?

I've always used stock o-rings on my Siemens injectors. You need to lube the rings and tighten the rail down all the way.

where did you get the extra o-rings, and what size are they?

and its there and seald. its goning to take some twisting and turning to get them out.

of and does the injector clip have to be facing the rear?

my clips are a tight tight fit so it may be the clip pushing against the manifold causing my problem

yes injector clip faces the manifold almost everytime, i mean u can try facing foward it might not fit that way tho........and i got the injectors used like that, but i did get extra orings before at advanced autoparts for like 5-8 dollars for a box of assorted rings just pick and pull the right sizes after u buy the pack, or just go to STEALERship

well the injector is round, so would facing the plug towards the passenger side really hurt anything?

the way the fuel rail is designed the rail wont tighten the way it should because the clip will be hitting it if you point it to the side

well if I point them to the side caddy corner a bit they fit fine, if I point them to the back the clip hits the manifold,

I worried about it not spraying correctly

the injectors spray in a conical shape so you should be ok if happen to have to twist in another direction to help the injector seat into the fuel rail.

so I figured it out, the injectors I got had a thicker plastic at the top that was keeping them from going all the way into the fuel rail. I shaved the plastic down so it would fit and they worked beautifully.

Well minus the breaking the fuel rail studs off in the head and having to extract them and get new bolts it went fairly smoothly

I didn't have to shave any of my Siemens injectors.

http://www.bmotorsports.com/shop/pro...&wx=300&hx=300

are those the ones you had?

the thicker plastic at the top wanted to try and compress, but after thinning it down they fit like OEM with that long plastic part that goes into the rail.

I probably didnt have to do it, but they fit a lot better.
