Is anyone running the Konig Runaway wheel on their tC? I found a set locally that I might buy, and i was just wondering if anyone has them on their tC and had pics of them? The ones I am looking at are shadow black.

hey thorium.... i was thinking of buying another set of these... lol i really liked them... theyre just kinda hard to clean sometimes.

not gunna lie those look pretty good, and im not a konig fan at all
but they are the best Volk RE30 reps, way way better then rota svn and the 17x8 only weight 19lbs!

man. usually i don't personally like konig wheels. but these look great! and there will always be haters. :P

not trying to hate because i like them too and my friend has them on his eclipse but they are you cant give credit to konig since they got the design from Volk.

the money argument is completely bogus. If you don't have money don't spend the money on parts. If you want to put parts on your car you should save up and get quality parts. Quality > quantity.

Quality>Quantity for sure as well. If you are only daily driving, not aggressive at it, and don't regularly hit potholes go for it. If any of those do not apply to you, save up and get a higher quality wheel, its for your safety!

I got the wheels mainly for the tires to be honest, I got them used dirt cheap. I just happen to like the style and color on my car, but $800 per wheel for the VOLKS for daily driving is just slightly insane to me.

But not gonna lie I know they're very cheap, I mean the paint and clear is flaking off of them in places and chips really easily.

For DD I agree, just don't want to see this happen to others...

Yeah they might be weaker than other wheels, but still look at the barrel of the wheel and you can see the impact that it took for whatever it hit. But if someone wants the cheaper wheels then so be it, if you want to go buy the name brand wheels then by all means go buy them.

People typically buy wheels for looks. If you tell me that the rims I like are 4000$ but that there are almost exact replicas for 800$ guess which ones I am buying? You can sit on forums and act all high and mighty about how you paid more for the 'real things' even though they both look the same on the car and both add style to the car but honestly if your a name brand whore why were you driving a scion in the first place?

I think Konigs look nice, I also like a few Rotas, and quiet a few other knock off rims.

I'll also rock a pair of racelands for the drop, you can hate on that too. In the end I'll rock racelands for 200$ you'll rock some other coils for 1000$ and both of us will probably need one replacement in a year or two. Names go so far. We both know that the price it takes to make both rims are nearly identical and you pay for the name.

I disagree with that. Now I am not knocking racelands but i can do a heck of a lot more with my SS-Ps than the racelands are capable of, so to me its is worth the extra money to have camber adjustment, dampening adjustment, top mounts, stronger perches, edfc compatability, and the ability to have them re-built.

And yes Neb can come across as a jerk sometimes but he means well, and dosen't want to see people end up with something that could potentially be unsafe, or fail. Now that is not saying that all products don't fail eventually but I'd rather spend more on something and have it last until its due to be replaced or I'm bored with it and not have it be toast or broken before it should be due to being inferiorly made. Do a quick search about bent/broken rims 99% will be knock off brands. Again he's not being rude just to be rude, we have all just seen it happen too often, and don't want to see it happen again. /threadjack rant
