Default at what point..

does the stock security system go off? or is it just if you press the panic button on the remote?

i ask this because i just realized the other day, if you have your windows down and lock the car with the remote, you can just reach inside and open your car door and the alarm does nothing.

in the other cars ive owned with a stock security system that the horn just beeps when the alarm activates, if you do this, the alarm instantly goes off.

so im just wondering, what would have to happen to make the alarm activate?

i see.. well technically there is a slight security system, if you are in trouble and near your car, you can press panic. so its kinda more like a false sense of security system.

no...it is a panic button. that is all. sense it is only activated by the remote. besides, if you are in trouble near your car, it isn't like a car security system would save you anyway. not unless your car has a brain like knight rider or something.

lmao i was just joking.. and if you want to get technical a panic button would be classified as a security feature.. but anyways my last post was purely intended to be funny.. i wasnt being serious about it.

??? The system in my RS 3.0 has an infrared sensor. When I locked the car with my dog inside, the dog set off the alarm when I walked into a fast food place to get lunch. I found out later if I lock the car with the driver side all door switch, the infrared sensor isn't armed, and I can stay inside the locked xB and sleep.
