I haven't heard of them cracking, but they do throw a CEL. The headers are good aside from this little problem. However, if you're sour on DC headers, then you might check out http://www.tctunerz.com. They have a performance header, but I haven't heard any reviews about.

I did hear that DC sports is trying to come out with a performance header that won't throw a CEL. My suggestion is to wait and see what comes out. A lot of people are complaining about throwing a CEL, so I think all the companies that make headers are trying to correct that problem.

That's bc it deletes the cat, but there is a way around this now with the spark plug anti foulers

alphawerks makes a good header but its costly. If you research it you might get it for $500

I tried the anti-foulers, aka non-foulers, but I had trouble removing the sensor, so then I tried to remove the piping and had trouble removing the bolts.

Does anyone have a remedy for removing "hard to remove" bolts or sensors?

anyone would be stupid to pay $600 for a header when all of the other ones with a similar setup are between $300-400.

Well if you people did some damn research you might see that you can find the header for $450.

when i installed my DC headers yesterday they had trouble getting the O2 sensor out and i almost had to buy a new one...$200 for a sensor!.. they ended up getting it out and had to re-thread it....i was NOT happy...oh and beside making my car sound like ____ the headers definately make a good difference in performance...for $300 not bad at all.....now i just need a good cat-back to clean up the exhaust note...

No they're not melted. I'm thinking a little liquid wrench might loosen them up?

I have more time this weekend to focus.

Does anyone have the Megan header (http://www.creativecompacts.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=MR-SSH-STC05&Category_Code=SciontCHeaders) from Creative yet? I'd like to see a dyno and hear an sound clip since it has the pre-cat..

Got the anti-foulers in, and it seems to be working. It's been a day. I reset the ECU and everything.
