Got one JL 12w3v3-4 for xmas and wanna install it soon. I'm not the craftiest man when it comes to woodworking, and I wanted to buy a sealed box. The thing is, JL reccomends the weirdest dimensions for their box.. http://mobile.jlaudio.com/products_subs_enclusure.php?series_id=25

I can't seem to find a box anywhere with dimensions even close to these... i mean, the box they are telling us to build isn't even square...

Would this box work? http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_951_Single+12-+Sealed+MDF+Enclosure+-12SQTC-.html

and if you know where to get one for a single w3, post it up!

Thanks in advance.

That is just their recommendations for optimal sound, you can use really any size box you want as long as it meets the requirements for the air space needed. Which that box from sonic is pretty close so I think it would be fine if you just want a simple box.

no problem, which sub do you have the 12W3v3-2 or the 12W3v3-4?

All i have for my subs is a simple sealed box that was made to the air space specs of my subs and they sound good.

^ thanks, and Idk how knowledgeable you are with audio systems but I have one last question. Its not really pertaining to the subs, but I just bought new components for the front (6 1/2" Polk db6501), and I read that I have to buy spacers from this guy http://www.yoursciontc.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=5506 over at ystc?...

seems like a pain in the ___..

well i wouldnt buy from that guy since he has posted since 2008. dr. isotope sells them too and I think elemental designs makes custom ones too.
