looks slick!!! Think i just made my gf getting it during fall, was gona ask her to get a tC just like me :P , then she shows me that slick Eclipse... i was like...hell yea!!! get that.

One thing i noticed at the car show recently when i saw the new Eclpise. It's got HUGE triangle windows on the doors. I've seen plenty of cars with triangle windows before but these were easily 2-3 times the size of your average one. It was kind of strange.

Other then that i didn't care much for it. Couldn't really put my finger on it really i just wasn't amazed with the design. In person it almost looks like they tried to put different signature pieces of other cars together. ie Audi TT spoiler on a 350z tail...

Ecliipse will be way too heavy...they have sure got pretty bloated in recent years. Looks good and the new Civic looks good too. But I'll go with the tC...can't beat the price...even with the SC.

yeah i saw the new eclipse...i luv that car soooo...its so cool...plus the new 2.6 v6 is gonna pump out 260 hp.....vrooom!!! :silly:

the eclipse will probably be the fastest out of the 3.

if the Galant Ralliart, with the same engine as the eclipse did 0-60 in 6.1 seconds

then surely the Eclipse will be the same if not faster.

There's word that Mitsubishi could be on their way to bankruptcy because of some very bad quality decisions overseas. If it was up to me I would not be buying anything new that Mitsu has to throw out there.

I still think the tC looks better...I see mitsus all the time, and I dont think they look all that eye catchin. I had ppl look at my car and go wow, or nice car. the tC is kickass b/c it's unique, no other car that costs 16K has an all glass roof...

sad thing about the G35 is the Japanese hate the car, as the R35 Skyline, it replaced the awesome R34.

And say what you want about Mitsu, the Lancer EVO is a very good car, even though they had to import it and dumb it down for us

Don't get me wrong, I love Scion, and I love my tC even more, but If something better comes out, I'm not gonna sit here with my thumb in my butt. As of right now, the 06 Civic SI Concept looks mighty good, if Honda ever releases the SI remotely close to the concept version, Scion is going to have a problem on it's hands.

It's hard not to like 260 h.p. from the v-6 eclipse,but I do think the tc looks alot better.With the tc already having many camry components why not stuff one of there v-6s into the tc instead of waiting god knows how long for the s.c. to come out?I'm sure theres a good reason why they don't do this, but could someone tell me?

I don't know about it (eclipse) being the fastest... as an example, the Cobolt SS has a supercharger and it makes 205 HP... the Cobolt weighs around 2900 -3000 lbs, similiar to the TC... the 0-60 number for that car was around 6.1 sec. With rumors of the tc SC having more than 205 HP, I think the tc could be 6.1 or even better...

I think the new eclipse is a great car and hopefully it will do well in bringing back young buyers (i'm a DSM fan). I personally like the car. But one thing i'm alittle sceptical about is the price...What will the GT go for?

I saw it at a recent car show too, it looks MUCH better in real life than in pictures. I would buy one, but I bet its going to be expensive- moreso than the current eclipse.

actually its about 22-24k in the price range. THe only thing i really see wrong with the car is that the car looks like a boat. It really needs to be dropped.
PS i would have never guessed the 2006 tc sc would have won the poll

the civic SI is a hot looking car, mainly because it looks alot like the tC. If the tC didnt exicst id rock it. especiall with the extra hp.... still waiting on numbers form the trd supercharger.... along with everyone else in the forum

one thing about the eclipse --
this car was supposedly developed from the ground up (of course, using the galant platform). to do so, costs money
we all know mitsu has no money -- so i wonder just how many corners they cut to make this car?

I think it wouldve been smart of mitsu NOT to cut corners for this car.. they're still trying to amend their rep from the scandals they had a few years ago... which is the deal with their warrenty.. but the Koreans have caught up dramatically. In a lot of ways the 06 eclipse is their last chance in the states. If they don't make it right.. it'll be their swan song.

btw where do you guys see pics of the 06 civic si?
