is it me or is this identical to the K&N intake? beside the filter, looks pretty legit though for 75$
need some input
Edit: ok so use this for anything related to raceland performance parts.
ie: intake, exhasut, headers/s-pipe.
so many unnecessary posts.
08_Scion_tC 01-03-2010, 08:38 PM Don't buy eBay, fitment is usually off on most parts.
DJ08tC 01-03-2010, 08:41 PM it is not ebay, it is the companies that sell on ebay. I have bought plenty of stuff on ebay including my APT fogs and they fit perfect.
That is made by raceland who makes the coilovers for $280. I think someone on here said they had it and it fit fine.
Simplylibet 01-03-2010, 08:44 PM it looks pretty legit, i just don't wanna get ____ed for 75$ when i could have put out more to know it works.
also an intake that fits up to 06' will fit a 07' right? i don't think there's a big difference in the fitment.
Simplylibet 01-03-2010, 08:45 PM ^^^also apt supplies for vrd they are the same thing just cheaper on ebay. i have them too ^_^
DJ08tC 01-03-2010, 08:46 PM ^^^also apt supplies for vrd they are the same thing just cheaper on ebay. i have them too ^_^
yea i know.
the fittment would be the same but they changed the MAF sensor size on the 07-up so it might not work for an 06
Simplylibet 01-03-2010, 08:48 PM oh nevermind. i read it wrong lol
i have an 07' should fit fine.
what you think overall of this intake?
MeatRocket 01-03-2010, 09:49 PM basically all intakes are the samething, bent piping.the only diffrence performance wise would be the filter.
i think if raceland makes parts that people like(coils) than im sure the intake will be good. besides for that price its a deal for a 07+ intake.
on the page they say they have sold 3 so far. you could message those buyers and ask how the fitment and quality was.
08_Scion_tC 01-03-2010, 09:59 PM ^ That would be a good idea to message the other buyers to see how fitment was.
DJ08tC 01-03-2010, 10:01 PM It should be fine as long as it is 2.5" where the MAF sensor is and I emailed them like 2 weeks to find out what size the piping was and they said it is 2.5". I am thing about getting one too because i am not going to spend 300 on a couple pieces of pipe.
Simplylibet 01-03-2010, 10:04 PM It should be fine as long as it is 2.5" where the MAF sensor is and I emailed them like 2 weeks to find out what size the piping was and they said it is 2.5". I am thing about getting one too because i am not going to spend 300 on a couple pieces of pipe.
I'll do it with you :icon_biggrin: !
Simplylibet 01-03-2010, 10:50 PM boom done. just ordered it, along with my new rims, wheel locks, and caliper paint. BYE MONEY =[
DJ08tC 01-03-2010, 10:56 PM yea i will let you test it first, lol
Simplylibet 01-03-2010, 10:58 PM hah im pretty confident, i mean worst case scenario i sell it on craigslist or just keep it in.
your right 300$ for bull___ pipes is crazy
pno02 01-04-2010, 12:50 AM when you get your intake post if it throws a CEL. i had the bomz one from ebay and i got a CEL no matter what i did. i have an 08 tc.
DJ08tC 01-04-2010, 12:55 AM probably because the piping was bigger than 2.5", if it is bigger you will get an CEL on the 07-up
killatc171 01-04-2010, 01:29 AM i kept throwing codes left and right on mine and mine was a 06. not sure the reason mine was doing. it but it was a ebay intake not bomz but somthing else. then i order the bomz intake from customtc.com and i havent had a issue at all. but i have a friend that has the raceland one installed. and he loves it. fitment must not have been bad cause it didnt take him long to get it installed.

i like to hear that ^
if it throws me a CEL, i'll throw it OUT :)
would there be away to make it go away? or nah?
DJ08tC 01-04-2010, 02:02 AM probably depends on what it is, but I wouldnt worry about that until the time comes.
Just make sure to disconnect the battery, and let it idle for alittle while and drive slow after installing it so the ECU can relearn.
MeatRocket 01-04-2010, 03:04 AM one thing also is make sure you handle the maf sensor with care. i bought a used fujita for my other 07 tc from a member on here. he said that on humid rainy days he would throw a cel. he had all his splash guards in place.
when i installed it on the car i was carefull and didnt touch the sensor part. when i put it on the intake i made sure not to let it touch any piping and secured it. reconnected the battery and 2 months later i never got a cel, even when driving in wet, snowy weather.
v-train 01-04-2010, 10:31 AM keep us updated whether it fits or not i wna get one like tht too
killatc171 01-04-2010, 09:52 PM one thing also is make sure you handle the maf sensor with care. i bought a used fujita for my other 07 tc from a member on here. he said that on humid rainy days he would throw a cel. he had all his splash guards in place.

yea mine was doing the same thing similar. on the no name intake. but once i got the bomz one which i guess it a little better then the one i had before i never threw a cell agian. i have had mine on for like 4 months now with no cel at all from it. and the raceland one i have acutally be looking at upgrading to that from the bomz one. def lets us know how it fits i might end up picking one up myself.
Simplylibet 01-04-2010, 11:53 PM i will def take some pics and let everyone know about the fitment. it's on it's way from reno right now to jersey =D
Simplylibet 01-06-2010, 04:20 AM should get saturday, probably put it on same day =]
also has anyone ever gotten the exhaust from raceland? looks like the srs which i hear is a pretty decent catback for the money. i mean if the coilovers are good, i heard the header/s pipe are good too why not this intake and exhaust right? and a strut bars a strut bar can't go too wrong with them.
skakemokid 01-06-2010, 04:36 AM dude ive been rocking an ebay header for 60,000 miles... racelands should be cool too.
Simplylibet 01-10-2010, 05:49 AM installed. fitment is great.
for 75$ it was well worth the money
i'd definitely recommend it over a 300$ intake
I'll take pictures soon. :icon_biggrin:
happyhick025 01-10-2010, 06:08 AM damn i was all pumped to get this cause i need to change from my cai to a sri and this is cheap, but mines an 06 :(
Iceman04503 01-10-2010, 06:17 AM Does this give off the CEL light?
Simplylibet 01-10-2010, 09:57 PM nope =]
dpaine 01-10-2010, 11:25 PM installed. fitment is great.
for 75$ it was well worth the money
i'd definitely recommend it over a 300$ intake
I'll take pictures soon. :icon_biggrin:
i got one last week and installed it yesterday, fits perfectly fine. no CEL. beat the heck out of $300 for sure..
i figured hey its only 75 bucks i got a 50/50 chance of if working out good, and its flawless
did you get red? chrome?
Simplylibet 01-10-2010, 11:42 PM i got one last week and installed it yesterday, fits perfectly fine. no CEL. beat the heck out of $300 for sure..

did you get red? chrome?
i got blue.
the only thing that i didn't like is the 6 extra screws it came with ???
and how you have to reuse the breather tube and the clasp thing to connect the intake to the tb but for the price i'm sure not complaining
dpaine 01-11-2010, 12:03 AM yeah im looking at everything and i saw those screws and was like ummmm ok? lol
i got the red but tis a decent setup for $75, yeah i wasnt to thrilled on the breather tube issue but being that my car is only 3 months old i was fine with re using it
Simplylibet 01-11-2010, 12:22 AM yeah im looking at everything and i saw those screws and was like ummmm ok? lol
i got the red but tis a decent setup for $75, yeah i wasnt to thrilled on the breather tube issue but being that my car is only 3 months old i was fine with re using it
yeah i didn't mind too much. definitely a steal at the price though
Iceman04503 01-11-2010, 01:10 AM So do you guys have this as a CAI or a SRI? Can it be turned into a SRI like the injen?
dpaine 01-11-2010, 02:05 AM CAI, im sure you could cut it down and modify it,
Simplylibet 01-11-2010, 03:08 AM CAI, im sure you could cut it down and modify it,
sri doesn't seem to be plausable.
definitely if you wanna modify it.
why not just cut it and call it a day lol
juzlookzfazt 01-11-2010, 04:13 AM PICS! PICS! We needings pics! Video too! lol
Simplylibet 01-11-2010, 07:40 PM PICS! PICS! We needings pics! Video too! lol

MAF
TRD93 01-12-2010, 03:06 AM Not bad im really thinkin about getting the red one!
I need to replace my stock air filter and this beats just buying a drop in filter since the k&n one is like 50 bucks alone. Did you disconnect the battery while installing it?
DJ08tC 01-12-2010, 03:09 AM you should always disconnect the battery!
i am thinking about getting the red too, wonder if that ugly raceland plate would come off easy
MeatRocket 01-12-2010, 03:14 AM you should always disconnect the battery!
i am thinking about getting the red too, wonder if that ugly raceland plate would come off easy
but its a symbol of excellence lol
DJ08tC 01-12-2010, 03:16 AM lol yup!!
some companies kill me with that
TRD93 01-12-2010, 03:28 AM hahaha i was just about to say that haahha "symbol of excellence"
TRD93 01-12-2010, 03:28 AM so fitment is good though?
ScionSnowman 01-12-2010, 04:51 AM Maybe its just me but does it look like its really close to the engine cover? Otherwise it looks really good. Makes my AEM look tiny...
KFedyszyn 01-12-2010, 09:03 PM i jus bout one of thosde...my engine light came on in 3 days but i jus cleaned it n reset the battery so it hasent com back on so far......but if it comes back on im jus gonna return it and get a fujitaa or aem.....jus try it out..u can return it up to 60 days
KFedyszyn 01-12-2010, 09:06 PM did anyones engine light com on from the raceland cols air intake and wats the breather tube that u have to reuse from the orihginal intake?
If your cel came on after time check if you mounted the maf right and its secured to the intake. other than that try resetting your ecu
The breather tube is the small (one inch?) hose that connects to the intake near the TB. The hose doesn't have to be reconnected, I have the G.F.I intake setup and my breather hose is just hanging in the same position as it would if it was connected.(im getting a little breather for it because im lazy to redrill the piping for it) But if this intake comes with a spot for the hose just attach it.
KFedyszyn 01-12-2010, 10:12 PM ohh ohhh ok..and yeah i did reset my ecu so hopefully it snt go back on...if it does wat else could the problem bbee
KFedyszyn 01-12-2010, 10:34 PM anyone that has the raceland intake sis u have to change ur MAF sensor to an after market one?
DJ08tC 01-12-2010, 10:36 PM you shouldnt have to change your to an aftermarket one. A intake should not cause a CEL, if the cel keeps coming back get the code read.
KFedyszyn 01-12-2010, 10:37 PM i got the code red..it says it was p0101 the MAF sensor...so i cleaned it n put it back in and now its off
DJ08tC 01-12-2010, 10:39 PM then there is nothing else you can do unless it comes back on. Nobody else has had a problem with the intake that i have seen.
KFedyszyn 01-12-2010, 10:41 PM ohhh okkk...il see wat happenss
Simplylibet 01-13-2010, 02:30 AM yeah fitments great. it is a little close to the engine cover but isn't touching.
didn't throw a cel yet =]
i would disconnect your battery first. and handle the maf with extreme care if you even dinged it a little you could have damaged it enough to set a cel.
i'm beyond happy with this for the price it was.
the growl after 3000 rpm's is pretty noticeable as well.
if anything just get a new filter and/or a bypass valve/ filter cover for safe messures =]
TRD93 01-13-2010, 05:21 PM Anyone else have pics of different colors?
cashvillem1 01-13-2010, 06:02 PM can it be converted to a Short Ram Intake?..
DJ08tC 01-13-2010, 06:05 PM not without cutting it
lucky_one 01-13-2010, 08:12 PM ok so i got this intake anybody put a bypass valve on it yet. the Short pipe is 2 3/4 in and the Longer tube is 2.5 in
Simplylibet 01-14-2010, 03:08 AM i'm too lazy to put in a bypass valve so i'm just gonna hydroshield it.
not sure on the dimensions though =[
lucky_one 01-14-2010, 03:32 PM well if you see a big puddle and you cant do anything to avoid it take you foot off the gas
Simplylibet 01-14-2010, 07:06 PM i mean yeah. that would only make sense.
but i'd rather be safe than sorry.
plus i love driving through puddles so probably gonna seal it somehow with silicone =]
Simplylibet 01-29-2010, 10:27 AM bumpppp
KFedyszyn 01-29-2010, 02:35 PM does anyone have any imputs aobut the raceland catback exhuast...im looking to buy one
skakemokid 01-29-2010, 02:56 PM i mean yeah. that would only make sense.
but i'd rather be safe than sorry.
plus i love driving through puddles so probably gonna seal it somehow with silicone =]
Silicone? where?
SeanJohn 01-29-2010, 03:08 PM does anyone have any imputs aobut the raceland catback exhuast...im looking to buy one
Buy it and let us know. I was gonna order it for just the hell of it. but funds are getting very low. spending 750 in 10 minutes doesn't help either.
KFedyszyn 01-29-2010, 03:15 PM yeah that dont haelp nothing hha
johnnyb305mia 01-29-2010, 03:35 PM im glad everyone is enjoying thier raceland parts i have had thier coils for 3500k thier great and after everyone bashing me about raceland its a bitter sweet victory for me lol raceland ftmfw
KFedyszyn 01-29-2010, 03:58 PM yeah i got the intake and its really good for 75 bucks...so ima try the exhaust now
Simplylibet 01-30-2010, 04:38 AM Silicone? where?
lol i wasjust gonna silicone the splash guards and wheel wells.
probably a dumb idea lol
just forget i said that:silly:
yeah i got the intake and its really good for 75 bucks...so ima try the exhaust now
definitely keep us all posted, very interested.
also have the intake, couldn't agree more.:P
dpaine 01-30-2010, 02:24 PM heres my intake i forgot to post the pic a while ago lol, but this is pretty good for the money, im happy.

TRD93 01-30-2010, 02:48 PM Alright all these dam positive reviews......just put my order in for a polished intake!
Pics of the exhaust and header please lol?!
DJ08tC 01-30-2010, 04:28 PM RICE RICE BABY, at least with the header
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nNn6H55LQyk
johnnyb305mia 02-01-2010, 01:36 AM wanna hear it on a stand still and with out the headers to make an official judgement on my part
KFedyszyn 02-01-2010, 03:44 AM where did u get that colorrr
DJ08tC 02-01-2010, 03:56 AM uhm they offer it in that color. you can get it on their site or on ebay
dpaine 02-01-2010, 04:23 AM uhm they offer it in that color. you can get it on their site or on ebay
what he said ^^^^^^^, i got mine on ebay lol, still $75 either way
Simplylibet 02-01-2010, 04:15 PM someone take a sound clip of either just the exhaust, or exhasut/cai
headers on the tc in general sound like poop =]
johnnyb305mia 02-01-2010, 06:51 PM ^ agreed
lunatiC 02-03-2010, 04:16 PM If only they made one for the 06....
TRD93 02-06-2010, 02:17 AM Mine just came in the mail woot woot
Simplylibet 02-06-2010, 05:48 AM Mine just came in the mail woot woot
exhaust or intake?
keep everyone postedd :)
TRD93 02-07-2010, 09:18 PM polished intake
SeanJohn 02-07-2010, 10:21 PM I got mine the other day installed fine. Fitment is on point. and now CEL woot woot.
RoboCop 02-07-2010, 11:13 PM Sean, did you disconnect the battery when installing?
SeanJohn 02-08-2010, 10:13 AM Sean, did you disconnect the battery when installing?
1. Name is John (SeanJohn is what i go by long story)
2. To answer your question, yes I did disconnect the battery, well let me take that back, I took the battery out. Reason for this was I wanted better access to install the CAI.
Also, when I removed the MAF sensor, I didn't rush took my time installing the MAF, I have driven my car about 6 times today, so far so good.
Over all, I'm extremely happy with RaceLands products, The intake is nicely packaged. Everything they claim to be in the box was.
Hope this helps.
Sci_tC_05 02-08-2010, 01:42 PM Has anyone placed the order on the exhaust? Trying to see if i should go raceland exhaust or tsudo
Simplylibet 02-08-2010, 02:38 PM ^x2
I really wanna know if i should get this or the tsudo.
let us know!
SeanJohn 02-08-2010, 05:30 PM I have the tusdo on my car well just the axleback I like it a lot.
sounds great with the raceland intake. Ill try to get a video of it sometime this week.
Simplylibet 02-09-2010, 03:56 AM sick ^
yeah i just wanna get a few goodies for decently cheap.
they all do the same thing i don't wanna pay for "name brand" it's so dumb lol
Sci_tC_05 02-09-2010, 03:58 AM Yea i heard the Tsudo sounds nice with an Injen CAI hopefully someone gets the raceland exhaust and lets us know
Simplylibet 02-09-2010, 04:03 AM not sure if i want a cat or axle back.
hmmmmmmm lol
Sci_tC_05 02-09-2010, 04:10 AM Catback would be a lot better
Simplylibet 02-09-2010, 04:12 AM meh, i guess so. but all they basically do is make noise =P
i guess catback would give me an extra pony or two
Sci_tC_05 02-09-2010, 04:17 AM true but yea cross my fingers for an update soon
Simplylibet 02-09-2010, 04:20 AM hopefully some positive feedback with this exhasut!
someone buy ittt, test dummy =]
killatc171 02-10-2010, 12:42 AM ^^^ if it sound anything like the tsudo it should sound good. the tsudo when i had mine installed sounded great. i loved the sound of it. but i mean it couldnt sound much different then the tsudo. pretty much the same exact design, n1 style catback. cause the srs and tsudo sound pretty much the same. had a friend that has the srs when i had tsudo and we sounded pretty much exact. so i couldnt imagine this exhaust sounding much differnt then those 2.
Simplylibet 02-10-2010, 04:22 AM lol funny thing is i was debating all those exhausts.
but which ever one's cheapest i guess would be best right?
killatc171 02-11-2010, 12:15 AM yea true. i mean you can get the whole catback system for any of the 3 cheap. i think they all run like $250 shipped to your door pretty much. so i mean raceland is good quality from what it looks like so far. just go with there. keep it good with your intake, go with there exhaust. i mean it should sound just as good as the tsudo or the srs. the raceland gets a thumbs up from me :)
on a side not i wish they made there intake for a 06 :(
Simplylibet 02-11-2010, 12:23 AM ^yeah that suckssss.
might go with their exhasut.
just need the $$$
johnnyb305mia 02-11-2010, 12:47 AM do it bro all of thier parts have been quality so far so im sure its gonna be fuegs lol
203superwhitetC 02-11-2010, 03:02 AM i want to hear this exhaust.
SeanJohn 02-11-2010, 03:36 AM when I get my taxes back and if can afford to buy another exhaust i may pick it up. if anything im sure i can use some parts off it. to complete my system.
killatc171 02-12-2010, 12:33 AM ^^^ good choice cause if you end up trying to get a tsudo midpipe fitment would probolly would be crap. i have heard bad things about the tsudo mid fitment. let us know how fitment is cause i might pick up the exhaust for the midpipe if its any good.
SeanJohn 02-12-2010, 03:59 AM will do, I wont be able to order this for a few weeks until I get my taxes back. I need to order a camber kit as well. so i can play with my suspension and get it on point. Then i found some wheels I considering, so yeah more money into the car.
juzlookzfazt 02-12-2010, 04:04 AM Would buying just the CAI from Raceland make my stock exhaust sound ricey? Or would it sound normal?
Murphys_Law 02-12-2010, 04:17 AM unless you have headers wont be any rice
SeanJohn 02-12-2010, 04:23 AM im running racelands intake and tusdo axleback, doesnt sound bad at all.
juzlookzfazt 02-12-2010, 04:35 AM ^ I requested a video of your car because I was curious to hear it. I guess you overlooked my post! D: lol
SeanJohn 02-12-2010, 12:05 PM ^ I requested a video of your car because I was curious to hear it. I guess you overlooked my post! D: lol
I didn't over looked it at all. I just don't have a video camera just a canon dslr, but a friend of mine has a video cam that i can use, ill try to get it asap.
feldy 02-14-2010, 05:27 PM This just sold it for me. I have the red trd front strut this is going to go well. Has anyone with exhasut noticed any increase in performace?
heres my intake i forgot to post the pic a while ago lol, but this is pretty good for the money, im happy.

http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f225/mrfofiddy/IMG_0403.jpg
johnnyb305mia 02-15-2010, 04:14 PM seanjohn we do not need camber kits on our car because we have adjustable cambers from the factory u would just have to find someone who knows what they are doing i know this because i have the raceland coils and i have 4 threads left all around and i had my camber fixed by my boy who works at tire plus
happyhick025 02-15-2010, 04:56 PM ^ arent the rears adjustable only and not the fronts. And only like -1 degree
203superwhitetC 02-15-2010, 06:40 PM ^^I was slammed on H&R's over the spring/summer/fall and the place I went too had NO problem getting it back to factory spec. You just need to find the guys who are really good with the alignment machines.
Scionriderz 02-15-2010, 06:44 PM i squeezed -3.5 out of my rears and had to by camber bolts for the fronts because they are not adjustable from the factory. i have the raceland coilovers set at 2 threads left (just for insurance) all around
ktothesass 02-15-2010, 06:47 PM i have the raceland parts and will be doing a review/DIY write up in the coming weeks
johnnyb305mia 02-16-2010, 01:52 AM nice ^
BZinn1 02-16-2010, 01:58 AM My buddy up here in PNW got the intake, header, spipe, midpipe, and muffler and it all is working great and no cel and even sounds good without adding a second resonator......looks like Raceland is puttign out a good product,he had no fitment issues at all on any of his parts and they all lok very well made.
johnnyb305mia 02-16-2010, 02:04 AM good to know if u could get a vid and post it that i think would help a lot of ppl on thier decisions
Simplylibet 02-16-2010, 02:14 AM yeah happy i found raceland.
cheap bolt-on toys until i can man up and get money to go turbo lol =]
203superwhitetC 02-16-2010, 05:13 AM i'd really like to hear JUST the catback without the header or anything. i may buy this rather than going custom and get some money for the resonator i bought.
203superwhitetC 02-17-2010, 04:33 AM bump
olmsteadfalls_tc 02-17-2010, 04:31 PM just installed my raceland intake yesturday. perfect fit and sounds amazing above 3k rpms
feldy 02-17-2010, 04:45 PM cool putting in my order next week.
ShadowReeper 02-18-2010, 11:36 AM I plan to order this intake within the next month. I just ordered the Raceland coil-overs! I want to get Bride seats and either a harness bar or roll cage before I go under the hood. (I want to look better first :])
As far as exhaust goes, if you want a nice sounding exhaust, go with the knock-off no name catback. I ordered one for $115 shipped new and it sounds beast mode.

and what exhaust did you buy?
SeanJohn 02-18-2010, 01:46 PM seanjohn we do not need camber kits on our car because we have adjustable cambers from the factory u would just have to find someone who knows what they are doing i know this because i have the raceland coils and i have 4 threads left all around and i had my camber fixed by my boy who works at tire plus
I have come to learn this by spending way too much time under my car. My friend told me of a shop that can do it. I just need to get off my butt and do it.
I just learn that I didn't have insurance on the car last month for some reason Bank of America didn't honor a check. so I had to re-buy insurance and then PNC told me I have to an extra 460 for not having insurance.
Oh well I got an extra set of tires in the shed. ill be fine, lol
ShadowReeper 02-19-2010, 06:39 AM and what exhaust did you buy?
It was the BPP or BBP < one of those two. It was about $112 or $115 shipped, can't remember exactly. If you get it, make sure you ordered some polyurethane hangers (12mm). Mine sounds like the Megan Drift Spec a little. 2.25" piping.
KFedyszyn 02-19-2010, 02:45 PM does that bbp exhaust sit straight out the back of your car or is it crooked like the hks exhasuts?
ShadowReeper 02-19-2010, 10:16 PM It sits slanted, it actually sits very similar to the Megan Racing Drift Spec, so just compare the two. The reason why I gambled on getting the BBP instead of an HKS or Megan Racing was only because of the price. I'm satisfied with the exhaust.
I'll post pics tonight when I get off work. I'm not trying to thread jack tho.
So lets get back to the topic here. I'm actually going to get the raceland intake, header and s-pipe until I can turbo the tC. Anyone got the header and S-pipe?
thegame7a 02-21-2010, 05:52 PM Just placed my order today for their polished intake. Was gonna stick to getting the TRD one to continue the theme of my RS5 but $%^! that $300+ compared to $80.00 and you get the samething out of both, COME ON!!
ariese 02-21-2010, 07:32 PM just bought the blue raceland cai for my fiance today and coilovers for me hopefully install everything next weekend
Simplylibet 02-22-2010, 02:48 AM good to hear everyone's satisfied with the intakes.
still watchin for someone who buys the catback
203superwhitetC 02-22-2010, 04:28 AM I'm about to pick up an intake soon as well just for kicks and giggles. I'm getting a good deal on a Greddy SP2 axleback So I'm going to pass on the exhaust for now.
ShadowReeper 02-22-2010, 07:39 AM I ordered the coil-overs Thursday and they'll be here sometime this week. I have to make my car payment this week.. I'll try to get them installed this weekend. I plan to order the Raceland Intake, Header, and S-Pipe. If I do, I'll be sure to keep it posted.
feldy 02-22-2010, 02:46 PM I'm going to order my intake today. Was wondering does it come with a bypass valve? I did not notice it listed. Nor do I see the red or blue intakes anymore.
olmsteadfalls_tc 02-22-2010, 04:28 PM mine didnt come with a bypass, i ordered my blue one off ebay.
dpaine 02-22-2010, 04:31 PM i bought mine from the raceland ebay account lol
olmsteadfalls_tc 02-22-2010, 04:39 PM http://www.youtube.com/user/RacelandUSA#p/a/u/0/8_jgLSYLhEQ
video of the raceland exhaust maybe? its hard to tell but the bends look right.
feldy 02-22-2010, 04:52 PM have any of you installed your own bypass valve for this intake?
SeanJohn 02-22-2010, 07:02 PM no just don't drive in deep water. anyways im making my own shield.
feldy 02-22-2010, 11:18 PM So I sent a email to raceland for the red intake and asking them about the bypass valve. here is the email i got back. They say it does come with the valve? weird
Thank you for your interest in Raceland products.
I have made this item available on the website however it may take a few hours to appear. Check later this evening.
This intake does come with the a bypass valve.
Thank you,
Raceland USA
thegame7a 02-23-2010, 12:00 PM Well, I could let you know if it comes with the bypass valve or not.Cause I ordered mine directly from their web site and not from their ebay account.I should be getting it next week Tuesday.
feldy 02-23-2010, 02:28 PM They resent me a email stating they were wrong when the told me it came with the bypass. :(
Cwatz5219 02-23-2010, 03:01 PM If anyone is interested i have a brand new AEM bypass valve for sale
DJ08tC 02-23-2010, 03:43 PM dude if you have your fenderliners in you will be fine, just dont drive through massive puddles really fast. Get on of the hydroshield socks to help protect it
feldy 02-25-2010, 03:19 PM Just placed my order for the red intake.
Is there anything akward about this install for this intake that i should be aware of? I know to disconnect the battery for the install is there anything else I need to do to reset the ecu?
olmsteadfalls_tc 02-25-2010, 06:29 PM Just placed my order for the red intake.
Is there anything akward about this install for this intake that i should be aware of? I know to disconnect the battery for the install is there anything else I need to do to reset the ecu?
i didnt disconnect the battery and mine works fine no need to touch the ecu. other then that its a cake walk
DJ08tC 02-25-2010, 08:12 PM disconnect the battery to be safe, install it being careful not to mess up the MAF sensor, then let the car idle for like 10 mins, then take it for a cruise to let it car learn. That is it
ariese 03-02-2010, 12:12 AM installed 2raceland intakes tonight,
but we converted them into shortrams
and we got no check engine lights :)

KFedyszyn 03-02-2010, 01:33 AM whats the difference between a short ram intake and a cold air intake..i got the raceland intake but i like how the short ram intake looks but does it beefit me in anyway and will it still have the same deep sound after 3000rpms
ariese 03-02-2010, 12:31 PM short ram intake wont hyrdolock your engine like the cai can if you hit a big puddle
feldy 03-02-2010, 05:46 PM I'm getting mine in today. Did you guys have to take the front bumper off to install it?
ariese 03-02-2010, 06:04 PM its alot easier with the bumper off
feldy 03-03-2010, 12:24 AM Well got my order today opened the box. my order was not complete. I did not get my cleaner kit for the intake nor did I get a statement with the contents of the box or install instructions. WTF!!!!!!!!
PeArLwHiTe07tC 03-03-2010, 03:04 PM i had an issue with my fujita f5. i ordered it for an 06 thinking that there was no difference and sure enough the damn maf sensor was different... i did fabricate the maf to work but it did throw a cel. now its off and its been fine for some odd reason. but im not complaining.
feldy 03-03-2010, 03:33 PM Hey did any of you guys that have the raceland intake get a part list of what is suppose to be with the intake?
olmsteadfalls_tc 03-03-2010, 04:24 PM i didnt get eaither
SeanJohn 03-03-2010, 07:45 PM Hey did any of you guys that have the raceland intake get a part list of what is suppose to be with the intake?
This what is comes with.
Air Intake kit for the Scion tC comes complete with the following:
Stainless Steel, wire mesh reinforced Sport Air Filter
Lightweight, polished aluminum extension tube
Silicone connection hoses complete with hose clamps
That is all.
No cleaner kit. Filter is pre-oiled, cleaner kit cost extra. im sure you can just us the k&N one from your auto store.
And do you really need a sheet of paper with parts list and install. Its very easy a caveman can do it...oh snapp.
feldy 03-03-2010, 07:56 PM Well I had ordered the cleaner and it did not come in the box. So Yes I wanted to know what came in the kit so I know nothing was missing. Since my order came incomplete I wanted to make sure I got what I had paid for.
Superman05 03-03-2010, 08:05 PM Its very easy a caveman can do it...oh snapp.
:bow::rofl:
Could that have been set up any better?????
thegame7a 03-03-2010, 09:42 PM Well i received my Raceland intake today as well along with the Raceland Strut Bar here's a pic of both items. This is just to show you guys what each one comes with.I'll be installing them when it gets warmer outside.Cause right now this weather is retarded and its still cold.

Raceland CAI Intake Polished:2pcs.tubing,Pre-Oiled Filter(in box),2 rubber sleeves(in bag),2 clamps(in bag),2 rubber bumper screws(in bag),little bag of screws,2 Raceland Badges,Raceland Catalog
I didn't want to open any of the bags and boxes cause I'm not installing this until it gets warmer so i left it as is.

how strong is the bar?
Simplylibet 03-04-2010, 08:27 PM just a little question for everyone who has the intake....
wtf are those little screws in that bag for?
still sitting in my garage lol
thegame7a 03-04-2010, 09:44 PM how strong is the bar?
Well i havn't installed it yet, but it looks just like the TRD one and i think it might be a little lighter than the TRD one as well.
feldy 03-08-2010, 02:22 PM Installed the intake yesterday morning. Had no issues. Sounds great. Drove it for 230 miles after the install had no issues. When the battery was taken off it did reset all my power windows stuff ect so you have to reset it. But no cel yet. It did on first crank die but on 2nd crank of the key and it was up and running no issues. No need at all to take the front bumper off. I just removed the drivers side tire and pulled down the wheel well liner to screw on the filter.

ERZperformance 03-09-2010, 11:39 PM you get what you pay for.
thegame7a 03-10-2010, 12:35 AM I noticed you removed the Raceland badges from the CAI & strut bar. Nice pics
Horizons 03-10-2010, 03:52 AM yeah, they both actually fell off while I was installing the cai
I think it looks better without it anyways
kenshinta 03-10-2010, 04:35 AM does any of you guys installed the raceland exhaust? Im about to get that but im wondering how is it sound?
Superman05 03-10-2010, 01:44 PM does any of you guys installed the raceland exhaust? Im about to get that but im wondering how is it sound?
I am getting my I/H/E tomorrow from raceland. I will get some clips for you guys with/without header when I install this weekend.
Superman05 03-10-2010, 01:45 PM you get what you pay for.
Do you have experience with raceland? I dont want to feel like I wasted money.

Horizons 03-10-2010, 10:11 PM yeah it helped a little
it slightly reduced a little bit of the body roll
KFedyszyn 03-11-2010, 12:03 AM has anyone converted it intoa a short ram intake and if you did did u get a cel yet because i was interested in doing that to mine
ariese 03-11-2010, 12:06 AM i converted mine into a short ram
i posted pictures a few pages back on this thread
KFedyszyn 03-11-2010, 01:59 AM did u get a cel yet or no?
Simplylibet 03-11-2010, 02:10 AM you get what you pay for.
yeah exactly. so why would anyone else pay for overpriced pipes with a filter?
it's all the same gain. no matter what anyone says. the only factor would be the filter, and you could just upgrade it.
the pipes won't fall apart and no one has gotten a cel.
i'd say it's way beyond worth saving the 125$ for something else.
just saying.:lalala:
ERZperformance 03-11-2010, 11:21 AM looks nice for something that is so cheap
feldy 03-11-2010, 04:44 PM I did get a cel yesterday after washing my car. Had put about 260 miles on the intake over the weekend before the light went on. I had to reset the ecu again. Has not been back on since. I did notice after washing my car the filter was pretty wet. Also last night we had a rainstorm this morning I popped the hood and again wet. I thought that spot were the filter was sitting was a safe spot. Now I'm pretty nervous about it and hydro locking if washing the car and rain can get it wet. Will the aem bypass fit a raceland cai?
thegame7a 03-11-2010, 08:12 PM That sucks, on my old CAI on my Matrix i had the Injen Heat Shield installed and it never got wet and i had a hole on the wheelwell cover. So i might pick another one up for the tC.Also how did you get water up in there cause when i wash the car by hand and sometimes i go to a car wash water never gets in there.Believe me i've checked cause after every wash when i wipe down the engine I've looked down as to where the CAI goes and have never seen water there its always been dry.
feldy 03-11-2010, 08:41 PM It seems as it comes down through the side of the hood. I will try to take a few pics tonight
Subzer0 03-12-2010, 12:05 AM Just ordered a red, and will be hacking it up to make a short ram. Someone up the line did just that, and mentioned that he did not get a CEL. I will corroborate this, and post some findings after some miles have been put on it. I know some of you are interested in whether or not the CEL will stay off.
Rob
ERZperformance 03-12-2010, 03:12 AM AEM bypass valve will fit
Superman05 03-14-2010, 10:31 PM Well I installed the Intake, s-pipe, and exhaust yesterday/today....I will write a full review with pics and video tonight/tomorrow. I didn't do the header because I had a problem with my O2 sensor being cross threaded in the stock one. So I have the stock header/cat for now until Tuesday. Just gotta say I am truly impressed. Great job Raceland!
Simplylibet 03-14-2010, 10:47 PM abut 8k miles with the intake.
zero problems =]

krazyliltc 03-15-2010, 04:17 PM I'm looking forward to seeing this.
+1 If all goes well and I like the sound of it. Im gonna put in an order for a cai and the exhaust. Woot!
feldy 03-15-2010, 04:46 PM So after a week of having the intake and fighting a cell problem. I had one of the vacum hoses going into the intake a little long and it was getting pinched. Cut a inch off the hose reconnected to the intake no more pinching of the hose and all is well. The hose being a little long and not holding pressure was giving a p0441 evap code. If you get that code one of the hoses might be getting pinched. just fyi
Dont have there exhaust but do have the trd one. The sound above 3k is sweet a s s
thegame7a 03-15-2010, 10:00 PM Cool thanks for the info, i'm still waiting for it to warm here and stop raining, so that i can install mine. :tap:
07ohiotc 03-16-2010, 03:51 AM Well I installed the Intake, s-pipe, and exhaust yesterday/today....I will write a full review with pics and video tonight/tomorrow. Waiting for review on the cat back :) might consider getting myself one if it sounds good!
Superman05 03-16-2010, 10:34 PM Sorry for the delay guys...here is my review.
So let me start when I got the packages.....they were beat to hell but to be honest I didn't expect any better from UPS :gun:. I was worried that I was going to have some dents in my exhaust, but Raceland really protected the products with bubble wrap. Everything was flawless.
Now to the install, the first thing I did was unbolt the stock header, s-pipe, and exhaust. I wrestled with my O2 sensor in the header for 2 hours. When I finally got it out the damn sensor was cross threaded inside the stock header from the factory!!!! WTF:cry:. I didn't want to mess up the new header threads so I wrestled the sensor back into the stock header. I installed the Raceland s-pipe and the fitment was perfect!! Then, we took off the stock rubber mounts from the stock exhaust and lubed them up and slipped them on the Raceland exhaust. We hung up the exhaust and everything bolted right up!! Perfect fitment! No force fitting anything, it bolted up like it came from the factory! I love the way it hugs the bumper exhaust cutout. It does not look like a half-a** custom done exhaust. Also it has an adjustable silencer built in....all you have to do loosen the 3 allen key bolts in the muffler turn to adjust sound and re-tighten the bolts. Mine is set to wide open (full flow) as seen in the pics. Now, the next day we did the intake. One again perfect fitment! Just an FYI.....you will need to remove the drivers side front wheel to install the filter COMFORTABLY. You can turn the wheel and take off the plastic but your arms will get scratched like crazy, but if your arms are small enough give it a shot. I on the other hand have humongous hulk hogan pythons so I took the wheel off for the filter!! Now as for sound.....The intake sounds like a beast on heroin when you gun it!!!! :icon_twisted: Really bad-a**! The exhaust has a VERY deep, sporty tone. Sounds excellent so far. I am hoping that it will not change to much when the header goes on. The bad news is that I tried every possible way to record the exhaust and my recording DOES NOT sound like the exhaust at all. I swear. This exhaust is rasp free on a stock header. So do not get discouraged when listening to the video, this exhaust is deep and awesome...I promise. After all is said and done I am getting check engine lights but only for my FUDGED up O2 sensor!!!! Nothing from the intake so far. I will up date when I put the header on with pics and video of the exhaust with header. BTW I forgot to mention that Raceland supplies all bolts necessary for intake and s-pipe and exhaust install . Header bolts simply get re-used, so does the spring bolts from header to s-pipe. Also we found that using the factory bolts from s-pipe to exhaust was better then using Racelands. As far as quality and price....Raceland can't be beat IMO....:clap:. Any questions let me know. Any pic/video request shoot me a PM.

07ohiotc 03-16-2010, 11:42 PM great review! thanks so much for doing this!
but now:
1) So the exhaust does sound good? is there anything it sounds like? (compared to another brand) cause that video doesnt seem to be giving it justice.
2) is there anyway to remove that silencer? i think it just looks ugly there and would probably sound better without it on.
Superman05 03-16-2010, 11:56 PM great review! thanks so much for doing this!
but now:

2) is there anyway to remove that silencer? i think it just looks ugly there and would probably sound better without it on.
1) This is the only exhaust I have heard on a TC in person so I have nothing to compare it to. Sorry. This system has a DEEP rumble. I tried inside the car, outside the car, on the hatch, even in my pocket to filter the sound but I couldn't capture the true exhaust note.
2) No way to remove it. I thought it could be removed at first but it is welded in. It bothered me also but I got over it after day 2.
Superman05 03-16-2010, 11:59 PM I forgot to mention that if you go WOT then all you will hear is the intake!!!! The exhaust gets drowned out easily after 3k rpms. Those set of pipes is mean!! (in a good way) lol.
07ohiotc 03-17-2010, 01:03 AM hmm alright ill just take your word for it! cause in the video it sounds pretty raspy, especially when you turned it on.
but damn theres no way to remove it? well i mean its not THAT bad you can only really see it if you get down and look into the pipes i guess
and hey you get what you pay for, this being one of the cheapest cat backs for the tc ive seen and for having no fitment issues, thats pretty damn good!
07ohiotc 03-17-2010, 02:31 AM does it sound like this?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8_jgLSYLhEQ&feature=channel
Superman05 03-17-2010, 02:55 PM That's very close to what it sounds like!!! Is this a raceland exhaust?
07ohiotc 03-17-2010, 08:42 PM really?! that doesnt sound bad at all then! but i think that might be without the silencer because the title is 'sound without baffle'
but yes that is the raceland exhaust i believe because it is from their YouTube account, RacelandUSA.
Iceman04503 03-18-2010, 10:51 AM I forgot to mention that if you go WOT then all you will hear is the intake!!!! The exhaust gets drowned out easily after 3k rpms. Those set of pipes is mean!! (in a good way) lol.
whats WOT?
Superman05 03-18-2010, 01:04 PM whats WOT?
WOT=Wide Open Throttle= gas pedal pressed all the way to the floor
Iceman04503 03-18-2010, 05:28 PM oh thanks man.
Iceman04503 03-18-2010, 05:31 PM does it sound like this?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8_jgLSYLhEQ&feature=channel
I don't think this is the raceland exhaust because it doesn't look like it has the silencer. I could be wrong.

yeah i dont know man, i mean its posted on youtube under the same account of RacelandUSA, and they have a video of the tc drive by with raceland header/s-pipe/exhaust so i mean it could be? just modified without the silencer? i think its just me hoping  that its raceland cause that doesnt sound that bad!
Iceman04503 03-18-2010, 11:05 PM I'm hoping for the same thing because it sounds really decent. I wouldn't mind buying it but the video is throwing me off a lil.

If anyone has some suggestions on video taping on a Sony Cybershot please let me know. I would love to have an actual video of the exhaust instead of what I posted. Gotta know soon, because header goes on Saturday.....will review and video that experience.

Horizons 03-19-2010, 04:10 AM Hey superman, where in s.flo are you located?
I'd like you hear your exhaust in person compared to what I have:
Stock header>invidia s pipe>tsudo mid>tanabe concept g + raceland cai
Iceman04503 03-19-2010, 07:39 AM On their website they said the silencer is removable. hmmm...

I couldn't get the silencer out....I tried using a screwdriver to pop it loose but nothing. I will try again tomorrow (Saturday) when I install the header. Thanks
FlintMica2005 03-19-2010, 04:52 PM from that angle in the vid it looks like a tanabe concept g
DJ08tC 03-19-2010, 04:57 PM yea it does, dont sound like though! :)
Superman05 03-19-2010, 05:02 PM On their website they said the silencer is removable. hmmm...
Ok, so I called Racelands customer service and they told me that the silencer is an "Extremely" tight fit....It doesn't slip in and out like other silencers. So tomorrow I will put some elbow grease in it and see what happens. Will update with pics and video tomorrow.
DJ08tC 03-19-2010, 05:05 PM it will sound A LOT better without that in there.
Superman05 03-20-2010, 11:21 PM Ok guys, So I installed my Raceland header today and all I gotta say is
HOLY RASP FACTORY Batman!!!!!!!
This exhaust setup is LOUD and RASPY!:doh::icon_frown:This exhaust is great for people that do not want to change the stock header and like a nice deep rumble, if you plan on putting a header I would do so with caution, unless you don't mind the rasp. Overall the install was very easy and fitment was perfect....+1 for Raceland on fitment of all their products. I am very satisfied with my purchase because of the quality, fitment and price but I am going to have figure something out for the rasp. On another note....I could not get the damn baffle out ....I honestly think it needs to be cut out someway. We tried all types of methods with no success. Sorry guys. Will upload the video tonight. Any questions holla at me.
Big shout and thanks to "TruvieThug" for getting me a new O2 sensor for a great price and shipped in a couple of days. Without the sensor this install would have not been possible.

olmsteadfalls_tc 03-21-2010, 01:04 PM my cai just threw a cel, only had it on for about 2000 miles
thegame7a 03-21-2010, 01:13 PM Well the weather was beautiful yesterday. So i decided to install my Raceland CAI & Strut Bar.Quick install for the bar and as for the intake had a little trouble getting the other half of the tubing in but got it.The last thing i put back on was the MAF sensor i left it attached to the OEM intake untill i was done putting on the CAI.Once everything was installed along with hoses, clamps, filters, tire back on,jack removed then i put the sensor back on nice and gently where it belongs.Oh yea and for those who asked and was wondering what that little bag of screws is for that comes with the CAI is for, it's for your MAF sensor. Also no CEL (knock on wood)

how do you like the strut bar? i mean does it seem well made? i was thinking of this for myself, mainly because of the price :icon_mrgreen:
but also, WOW! thats SO raspy!

I like it, its the same as the TRD one and you can't go wrong for the price.
MooSE55 03-23-2010, 07:43 AM I used some of the screws to replace the screws that held in my maf to my stock intake..they seemed to fit better..so i figured thats what they were for haha..

Subzer0 03-26-2010, 11:58 PM Alright,
I have hacked up the intake for short-ram mode, and have run it now for 500 miles with no CEL. Of note, however, is that my intake temperatures have increased substantially when putting around town. The average right now, with 65 degree ambient, is around 105-135 degrees.
If anyone was curious, I have felt no power increase (not that I expected to), but it did change the sound of my car quite a bit, and added a really cool sucking sound from 4k+.
I'll update again if my CEL comes on.
Rob
P.S. Did anyone else get a filter that was entirely too large for the piping? Maybe I'm just an R-Tard.

Do you have any other advice on how to take it off. I cant seem to remove it. I have tired a few things now the silencer looks all messed up from plier marks. I even e-mailed race land and they told me that it should come out, so I know its removable.

Your temps are up because its sucking hot air from the engine bay due to it being a short ram. You should've just kept it haha
09BLUETC 04-06-2010, 06:53 PM ok so im gonna order a raceland intake tonight...Is there anything else i need to get? Ill probably switch the filter out but other than that is there anything else? I read about a bypass valve and hyrdroshied. Im not car saavy so do i need these lol.
feldy 04-06-2010, 09:01 PM No don't even need to change the filter. I have had mine installed for about a month maybe a little longer. Had a cell right away but it was because of of a long hose that was getting pinched. Only need for a hydrosheild or bypass is if you drive through water a lot or through river beds.
MooSE55 04-06-2010, 09:07 PM if you havent read through all the pages yet..than all i would add is make sure to be careful with the MAF sensor..and use the little bolts that come with your intake to replace the stock ones used to hold in the MAF much better fitment..and i found removing the battery help fit the pipe through without scratching it up..
thegame7a 04-07-2010, 11:33 PM Yes just be extra careful, matter of fact just leave it in the stock airbox and put it on top of the engine cover out of the way, while you install the CAI piping.Thats what i did and it was the last thing that I installed back as well.To this day I haven't had no problems with it or any CEL's.

X2
No need to change the filter either.
ScikoTRDtC 04-09-2010, 02:54 AM seems like a decent exhaust. but i think i would buy it just for the cat delete and then put some type of angle out from the axle back

My exhaust sounded similar (way too loud and raspy) the first time I turned over my tC after install. You just need to put an extra resonator into your midpipe. Dont even bother with a hotdog, use a wide resonator right from the start. I threw in a Vibrant Performance Ultra Quiet which eliminated ALL rasp below 5k rpm, and even above there is bearly any.

is it just me or does the tip stick out a little farther than most exhausts?
cashvillem1 04-19-2010, 07:57 PM Okay so I just read throu 13 pages, still curious on the intakes. I saw that on some people a CEL came on. I previously bought a BOMZ Racing intake and I had a CEL issue. still on the car but the cel is still on. by the way dont get it! I am interested in getting the Raceland CAI any one had anymore cel come on??
FlintMica2005 04-19-2010, 08:08 PM you had a CEL on your bomz intake? ive had mine for about 4-5 yrs now with AEM filters and have NEVER had a CEL. your sure you didnt blow out your MAF sensor during install? there VERY sensitive
feldy 04-19-2010, 08:10 PM What was the cel code that its putting out? I had a cel but that was becasue a hose going into the maf was a tad to long pinching it self and needed to be snipped by about an inch. snipped and 2thousand miles later no cell.... the intake is badass for the money it looks good and sounds good. that's all you can really ask for.
KillaSpiceTSW 04-19-2010, 09:27 PM When I installed my Raceland Intake it seemed to not be perfectly straight and the filter seemed to be practically sitting on the wheel liner! It took alot of tinkering to get that right! For the price you cant beat it, but there are better intakes!
cashvillem1 04-20-2010, 08:30 PM When i got it scanned it said p1001 or p1010 something with the maf sensor..i heard that BOMZ diameter when the maf is connected is to big.so idk i have to put my stock air box and reset and see if its the sensor..if not then i am def getting the raceland intake it comes with the right size housing.
KFedyszyn 04-22-2010, 03:10 AM i had a cel on my raceland intake but all u gotta do is reset the computer so it can adjust to the new air flow and it never came on again
Superman05 04-23-2010, 05:44 PM Never got a CEL with my intake....been about 2000 miles.
