Got my Ksports from Big J at NoLimitz... My xb handles and rides superbly. I dont care what anybody says about Ksport they make a quality coilover. If they can handle the roads of SoCal they can handle anything.. I also just did a trip up north in my xb and the ride wasn't uncomfortable at all.

Are these our ONLY coilover options?

Teins? Ksport? The D2s on Ebay? Cusco?

Teins are a VERY nice coilover. Fit and finish is superb and you won't be disappointed.

Stay away from K-sport. I know there hasn't been much problem yet with the xb2 setup but coming from my last platform I would never buy a set of them EVER. It was a 3000gt, wether it was FWD or the AWD platform I always here people having problem with them. I wish megan made coilovers for our car. Thats what I had last and there were awesome. I myself am considering the teins but have heard problems with them as well but this was with my 3000gt and it was there high end full adjustable EDFC kit

I'm thinking about getting the Teins before I slap on my new rims, but is it just me, or does anyone here actually have the Teins on their XB2???

There was that one guy that was in SoCal that had the prototypes or whatever. I think he ended up selling them on the eBay for around about $300. :(

sorry but Megan's fail just as much as any of the other sub standard setup! They're also made in China and have seen failed on many vehicles after a few laps. For normal driving they'll probably hold well but they certainly wouldn't be a coilover i'd recommend to anyone, it's more of a budget permitting type of thing.

but then again apparently TEIN & Buddy club is also in Taiwan now so ehhh who give's a sH*T just pick the color you like the best.

just go w/ spring and Bilstein shocks.... I think Bilstein's are lifetime warranty now.

I didn't know where to ask this....can someone fill me in on the numbers about these two sets?
which one offers the biggest drop and is it worth it to go with Ksports or just dish out ~$300 more and get the Teins...

Why don't you try asking KSport/Tein?

1GreeKtC

ask the companies if their product is better than their competitor's?

Your username is 1GreeKtC. You posted this on the page before this saying:

I cut out the part that I wasn't answering and left the following:
I didn't know where to ask this....can someone fill me in on the numbers about these two sets?
which one offers the biggest drop

I was indicating that my answer:
Why don't you try asking KSport/Tein?

was answering only the part I quoted above.

I was more interested in the quality of the product from someone with first hand experience and yeah maybe some pics of the drop....possibly getting 2 different owners that could shine some light on this for me.

How was your posting of ANY assistance? Ask Ksport/Tein? Really?
-Hi, is your product more reliable than Tein? .....

You don't think you could ask KSport or Tein how much of a drop their coilovers offer, or the "numbers on their sets"? That is what I was answering. My post was as helpful as it needed to be.

Reliability and quality reports, especially from owners of two different cars won't help you at all. Even if one person owned two sets of coilovers, that MIGHT help you, but his opinion of quality can be different from yours. Reliability is hard to measure, especially because everyone lives in different places with different types of roads and conditions. Also, there are many variables that include installation errors that people might not admit, even if they screwed up, or installation errors in which people DON'T know they screwed up. The only REAL way to do things these days is to just try it yourself. I've learned this from the past. People tell you parts are good, fit perfectly, etc. but it always ends up not being ideal. It's just the way things are.

And since you care so much about drop, you're probably not into proper coilovers anyway so just buy the cheapest ones you can find.

 just because I'm interested in the highest drop does not constitute that I'm not into proper coils. Anyway thanks for the input, I placed an order for a set of Ksports, last week.

Have a good day.

Hey , Greek,

I'd like to know how you like the Ksports, I read on their website a while back that they made some upgrades to the 2010 models, to help with reliability and such.

Good luck

no sweat, I was on the fence and close to ordering the tein coilovers, but I am also wondering whether to just get the S-tech springs and matching shocks..
