it was finally warm today. So i rolled down my windows. But i can't roll back the passenger side up. After take the panel off, my uncle saw the window rail track was bended very badly. Then i remember i was having problem opening that door few weeks ago. The t-hook(near door hinges) inside the door caught the window rail. It must bended the window rail when i force the door open.
So my uncle drilled those 4 holes and bended the window rail back into its original shape. He used club hammer, cold chisels, big screwdriver, and pliers to bend it back to perfect original shape.
I don't even think any shop out there will take time to fix it. They will replace my whole door.

 

come to think of it , i think the T- hook is part of the door hinge.

anyway i just find out there was a recall for that problem. It is the "front door check assy" that bended the rail.

drilled 4 holes? your uncle just hacked your door. has he tried removing the bolt next to the hole he made. shouldn't that free up the window rail for removal?

 

those hole arent going to hurt anything though really

 

what good is it if the mounting spot for the rail is 1/4 gone.
