I'd just go with the ebay one i dont believe i've ever heard of anything wrong with them and yes you would use 3m tape it holds really well

*NOTE* only reason they say professional installation required with almost all body mods is so if you screw it up you cant come crying to them about how you screwed it up... they recommend it be done by someone with "experience"

the one from trdsparks has the little posts that you drill holes for and use screws to hole the spoiler on. However most people just cut those off and use 3M double sided tape because the thing only weighs like a pound and 3M double sided tape is strong as hell. There is no need to drill holes for such a lite thing.

like said before, drilling holes isn't necessary. just use the double sided tape

3M tape should hold.
Not like anything is going to hit the top of your trunk while you're driving anyway.... or hitting 1000mph

Ever thought about getting that exact spoiler except in carbon fiber? That would look sexy on that SW TC

I thought the spoiler from TRDsparks comes with 3M tape? Any who, I would just get it from them. Great service and legit parts. Plus the spoiler from TRDsparks comes pre-painted. Drills...I always wondered if 3M tape can do the job. I drive pretty fast on highways and for sure there is a lot of draft that hits the spoiler. Either way, buy from sparks.

3m tape will hold it just fine, I have the cf big lip spoiler from racingsolutions and it's been held on with 3m tape for a while now, and I do alot of interstate driving at 75mph+

I comes with 3m tape for the outside corners i believe but it also has the posts that you need to drill hole for in the hatch if you want to mount it with screws. So if he got it from trdsparks he would need to cut those off and get more tape to secure it properly.

but trdsparks ftw

hey i just got mine off of ebay, it had 2 long strips of 3M tape i added more, be sure to prep the surface of both the hatch and sand and clean the area where you will apply the extra tape on the spoiler.

I put 2 extra long strips of 3m tape and took it for a drive on the freeway and it stayed on. Just take your time installing and your tc will look great. PM me if you need anything, Yanki helped me out.
