Thanks for the comments :) In regards to your question about how I smoked them, I had my painter do it for me. I'm not sure how he did it but I'm pretty pleased. I'm actauly going to smoke the rears some more in the next few weeks.

Pictures look great....... My guess is that his painter used Candy colors to smoke them because Candy's are transparent and he taped off what he didn't want to color.

i can answer the smoking question:

part # 1065 Transparent candy red spray:

available in the model building asile of walmart/michaels/etc.

about 3 dollars in paint (1 can is enough) and get good masking tape:
i am currently (as i type) swingin up a design right now...

pm me for tips on how etc.//anyone want me to do a writeup? i guess i could, seeing as how ive somked a dozen lights

(the reflector looks lighter on the right taillight .. but its actually the same shade... just the way the pic came out) but you get the idea

The smoked looks good on your car :) I actually have my tails smoked a little (as you can see on a side pic) but I'm going to have it smoked more. So what do you guys think? Spoiler or no?

Yeah I'd say the best thing to do is candy what you want to candy them smoke em a little or a lot. Depending on how dark you want it.

Still waiting for the shop to candy my tails. No rush.
Still debating on whether I should by my friend's 15" forged Racing Harts, something very similar to your kicks.

I did my candy tails today on my own for 6 bucks! It took me about 3 hours from start to finish, real easy, anyone can do it. Check my profile for the pic !!!

looks great. i smoked mine by taking them apart and spraying them with vht night shade.

Im using the Minwax Brand Fast drying Urethane Clear Coat, will do it tomorrow when i get my decals on.:)

Hey Jimmy...thanks man! The only problem I've had with the roof was it leaked one time during heavy rain in Austin. I called teh shop and they told me to bring it in but I got busy... but it never happened again. I got it with a lifetime warranty through the scion dealer in Houston so I think I'm covered. It was $850... but I got it put in when I got the car so I think that it helped on the price a bit :)
