Default Anybody added sensors to Scion Security?

Got a couple questions regarding the Scion Security system. When it's active does it detect hood release and fire the alarm? I don't see that in the list of post install tests.

Second question, is there any info on the best way to connect an additional sensor (say tilt or impact)?

Seems to me, if there's a hood release sensor (pin switch), then its signal wire could be used to add additional sensors. If there's not, then any info? I guess the glass sensor signal wire could also be shared, though I haven't found any wiring detail yet on either the Scion Glass Break Sensor or the Security ECU.

Anybody got any experience with this?

Thanks -- Trevor

I've learned the Scion Security system doesn't trigger upon hood release. And looking closely at the latch assembly on my 2008, there's no sign of a pin switch that could detect it. So, I guess that's a miss I would like to fix, but it's also an indication that sharing the Scion Glass Break sensor wire is probably the only possibility for adding sensors.

Again, does anybody have any experience with this?

you can't add anything. unless you add another alarm system in there.

Do you know why that is? I guess if the Glass Break Sensor uses pulse signals or the CAN it would mess it up, but if DC, then I would have thought that would work fine using diodes to separate the sensors.
