I was so excited today to pick up my new car!! As I was looking it over I saw a 2" scratch on the driver side door. They're going to fix it for me and give me a loner car. But it still sucks that I have to get a brand spankin new car painted!

Thats alright, they curbed my wheel and won't fix it...hehe...not my real dealership, there is a dealership closer to me I went to so I could get my car fixed quicker. I get home, look at my wheel and its curbed (just bought a brand new wheel), and basically I was told tough ____. Even though I had proof of how crazy I get with that kinda stuff...oh well...

Not sure how bad it is, but some industrial strength steel wool can even out your scratches on the rims. You might want to take a trip to Home Depot and try a piece.

Im RL friends with Delayed, and i can vouch that as soon as he saw the wheel was curbed he practically flipped out. He takes good care of his car and notices things right away.

yeah, your lucky. The dealer will paint it. Hopefully they wont just try to cover it up with some paint enamel or something. Paint the entire door dammit! :lalala:

Well....They touched it up today, but it's not perfect... I'm going to look at it in the sun light tomorrow and decide if i want them to paint the whole door.
Have you ever had a section of a car painted? How well do you think they can match it?

I just got my tC yesterday and during delivery inspection I noticed a deep scratch on my rear bumper. The dealer is going to fix it. However, I won't accept anything less than a brand new bumper.

Really? I don't have pics, but I do however have my old rim that I replaced. I curbed my old wheel, and bought a brand new one, I can take pics of em next to each other...hell I could give em the number to the dealership I bought the new wheel from. Cuz its not huge curb damage...but if I'm gonna pay $19,000 I would prefer that my car not be damaged by the people I have to trust to work on my car. I would rather let the Ford dealership I work at fix my car.

But aren't they still going to have to paint it? Or does it come painted from the factory?
