Default Got APT's Fogs! [Need Help w/Bulbs]

So i've been around this forum for months now. and I'm a newbie when it gets to modding. lol. and all i have are HID's for my low beams and some LED bulb swaps.
Getting the APT fog lights today on Ebay! and of course im going for the yellow lights =]

and another help [even though the instructions are sent]
with the installation of these lights.
do i HAVE to remove the front bumper?
(I know its plug n play...)

now, i was wondering if u guys could help me out with the best bulb.
dont really know the diff between the 2.5 and 3k output.
and kinda shady with what stage 1 and all that means.

so all input will help
thanks in advance!

If you have a turbo, there is no need to remove the bumper because chances are all of your undercarriage guards are removed. Otherwise you will need to remove the bumper to do the install correctly. They are plug-n-play once you remove the bumper

You could remove the liners under your car and get to them that way, but trust me... It's easier to just take the bumper off.

As said above, removing the bumper would make it easier, or at-least it was for me lol. Some people just unbolt the splashguards at the bottom and reach up under from there, some do it through the splashshield in the wheel well. I don't like to stretch or bend anything on my car, so I just removed the bumper to install mine.

He might as well get acquainted with removing the bumper now since he's new to modding lol.

If you have to run the harness just take the bumper off, you're not used to doing this stuff so taking shortcuts is not to your advantage

Just do what I am going to do. Save for EVERYTHING.

I did my TSX Retrofit - Ready
New D2S Hid Kit and wiring - Ready
I just received my VRD grills - Ready
I am saving for my APT fogs - Not Ready

Once it's all done, take the bumper off ONCE and do four things at once.

I just put my APT's on like two hours ago.
Just remove the splash guards under the bumper, you'll be fine. I've never done electrical or anything and it wasn't hard to figure out what was going on.

You basically just need to ground it and connect the harness and then find out places to run the wires so it looks clean. It's cake, honestly.

There will be a ground wire on your kit, its usually a black wire with a ring terminal connected to the end. or it will say ground, -, something lol. that wire needs to be connected to the frame of the car. if you can spot a bolt on the body with wires connected to it then just add your wire to that bolt and re tighten it back.

I've done both methods when I had some foglight issues. Since I've switched fogs a few times and bulbs (regular bulbs to HID's and Nokya's on the way) I just jack up the front end and take off the splash guards. I've seen some people use those ramp stands, which would probably be the best thing to use. Either way it is a simple install to do. Good luck!

just jack up the car, and take off the guards underneath like people have said...easy to just reach through.
