Ok just picked up my new set of 18's last nite. I decided to run some searches on a few questions I have & came up short so I am posting now.

Ok here is what I got 18 x 7.5 +45mm offset 72.64mm centerbore.

This rim setup was not listed in the FAQ wheel fitment. So upon my search I realized that the xB has a 54.1mm centerbore & people were saying a 45mm offset is as sunk in as you can get. Well thats not the look I am after. Now I had seen these rims in a different color on a Lava xB at philly exposed so I know they fit but I also noticed they were in a bit far for my taste so here are the questions.

1. xB has 54.1mm bore, rims have 72.64mm what does this mean ? Is something not going to be right ? Like I said I have seen these on a xB already !

2. With a 45mm offset are they going to be sunk in as far as I think they are & if so what size spacers & or shims will I need to bring them out a little ? Please also include if I will need longer wheel studs with the spacer package you reccomend !

I also may be running either a 215/35 or 215/40 with my setup, I don't know if either size matters or not so I figured I would throw that in if it would help.

This is one of the more question friendly areas on this site & I have always got the answers I needed from this forum. So thanks in advance for anybody willing to help me out ! :)

Ok I sort of got the answer to my centerbore question just have to find a hubcentric ring in that size, I am not sure how easy that will be but I have a few places to start now !

Still need help on the spacer shim question though.

Yeah, for the centerbore issue you can call up someone who sells wheels and order a set of hubcentric rings (Tirerack.com should have them, I know discounttiredirect.com has them also). You can still run them without too but you may be a vibration. Basically it aligns the rims perfectly center on the hub, rather than just tossing it on and having the lugs center the wheel. There is a slight variance there where you may get vibrations.

For the other issue, I think I remember someone mentioning the OTG spacers, but maybe they only have the camber plates... I think anything over a 5mm spacer will require longer studs.

http://OneTonGarage.com has rear spacer shims for the xB. These add 10mm to each side in the rear. They go behind the hub assembly so it doesn't affect stud length needs. That would give you a +35 offset. They are really nice and easy to install. Van also sells 5mm spacers that you could also use without altering the studs. To add 10mm or more as a wheel spacer, you will need to have longer wheel studs. There's a good DIY write up in the tech section on changing wheel studs using simple hand tools. Hope this helps and it sounds like you're on the right track with the HCRs...
