Default Stuck the coin door??

Some how, the door for coin spot? (sorry, idk what's call) is not open all the way.

I guess, a coin stuck right behind the place where the door goes.

I know its not big deal, but can anyone know how to fix it?

Thanks

Take off the lower section of the water fall by pulling up and back, dont be afraid. Then lift the cup holder section straight up and shake that thing like a baby till the coin falls out. Then put it all back together. Dont be afraid its like playing with legos!!

I'd just remove the coins... Get a screwdriver or something to help you prod the offending coin loose with the door nearly closed.

Yeah, had this problem once. Do what everyone else said. Take it out and shake the coin out and look to make sure the spring is still in place after. I made the mistake of forgetting to reattach the spring and had to do it all over. Not hard just frustrating.

just yank the damn cupholder out after you remove the lower waterfall piece.

it won't take but a few seconds.

The first problem is that it is not a coin holder.. thus when you fill it with coins you risk them falling in there and getting the door stuck. But like others said, everything snaps apart.

But.. I will warn people about the "lego" nature of new cars. Seems great, but there are some things you need to watch for. Let the inside of the car get good and warm for a while before working with it. Plastic snaps are much more likely to break when they are cold.

Clear it out, take off the waterfall, pop it out, and get the coin out, with or without a flat head or some type of slim tool.

funny thing is every time I clean dried up sticky cola on the bottom of the cup holder, I remove this cup holder console in 5 seconds.

To the OP - you might wanna take extra time taking this out if you happen to have the Scion accessory interior lighting LED in the cup holder.
