LowProMofo 02-14-2005, 11:44 AM My plan would be to flat out remove them , ugly no matter what the color. I agree shave em off. I did put white LED bulbs in the front side markers. Looks a lot better. IMO windowtint 02-14-2005, 01:03 PM the learn to weld plastic. stick_1NZ 02-14-2005, 01:48 PM they don't make them. if you you're handy with latex molds and Castalite you could make your own - would cost ya baout $150 to make the first set though... :) not really worth it. either that, or change them to something else. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v497/windowtint/ClearMarker2.jpg This reminds me of the rear side markers of my 97 honda accord. Hmmm....you just opened up a can of an idea. DIY here I come........Thanks!!!! very perceptive. That's why they make fiberglass! Fiberglass doesn't really stick to PP/EP plastic, you'll have to make an entirely new bumper if you want to use 'glass. id rather not have it there in general, they are so low that people barely even see them. i took my lighbulbs out of them and smoked it. and now you barely notice it And how did you do that? (cut the wires?) There are no bulbs in the rear bumper marker lights. It's a sealed unservicable unit LowProMofo 02-15-2005, 03:18 AM Fiberglass doesn't really stick to PP/EP plastic, you'll have to make an entirely new bumper if you want to use 'glass. I'm sure I can find a product other than glass to fill the hole. It's not entirely impossible. BTW you can weld plastic. People weld PVC as well as lots of other plastics all the time. MY bodyshop/paint guy does it. windowtint 02-15-2005, 03:44 AM I know you can weld plastic. I own a plastic welder. Some plastics (Like ABS and PVC) are very easy to weld. Some, like the TSOP (aka PP/E-P) plastic the bumpers and skirts are made from are VERY difficult to weld and make perfectly smooth. My rear skirt has been welded and refinished. That was the only way to make a one peice OEM rear skirt with two of the molded OEM exhaust cutouts in it. Looks completely stock - welded -Keith- 02-15-2005, 07:43 PM My plan would be to flat out remove them , ugly no matter what the color. LOL They dont come on the fabulous rear bumper... :lalala: Yeah but....Then I'll have to fill the bumper license cutout. I can get it but no quarantee on the quality or fitment.... of it... for the rear. Cuz I get it third hand... and rumor has it the company making it aint the best at it.... 02-15-2005, 09:14 PM You guys know that the bB in japan doesn't have that thing at all right? In fact the bB bible shows them for sale to the japanese public! :D squirrel 02-15-2005, 09:35 PM they don't make them. if you you're handy with latex molds and Castalite you could make your own - would cost ya baout $150 to make the first set though... :) not really worth it. either that, or change them to something else. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v497/windowtint/ClearMarker2.jpg I had found some, but were slightly smaller, and kept falling out. They were clear and I had put red bulbs in them. I'll have to see if I still have them at my buddy';s business or if someone else used them for something else.. |
