Has anyone bought a dashcover? Got pics?
i want to purchase a dash cover for the xb. i hate having to clean up the dash when it gets covered in dust and figured this would be easier. now i see them for sale all over the place but when i ask for a picture no one has one and i get some crap response about them being custom made. so does anyone have one and can they put up a pic? i'm not looking for much but i don't want some flea market stuff either.

i order one from a little store in the mall, its very flimsy (sp?) i dont know if maybe i need to iron it or maybe let the heat do its job or something but there are someparts where it doesnt fit right oh and it has to be velcro to the dash which im really not happy with doing that.

strtrcril87 im not sure i havent put the velcro on yet, but there is still some parts where it would seem like it sticks out a bit, im wating for the weather to get warm out here, maybe that will help settle it down.

I got this DashMat off the net (sorry, forgot the company I got it from) for about $30 or so. It's their dark gray, but I would go for the black, as it's closer to the xB's very dark charcoal gray interior. It also helps in controlling the sound reflections from the mirror triangle tweeters, gives a better image.
It comes with 3 velcro strips about 8" each, but I only used two. As you can see, it's got a cut-out on the passenger side for the airbag. I didn't use any velcro there.
Sorry, the pics a little small, first image posting error.

got my dash cover in today. quality is more than what i was expecting which is good. the fit seems spot on. it came rolled up in a box so i want to leave it a day in the sun to let it loosen up completely before i take pics. i'm happy with it and i'll post everything up either wednesday or thursday when i'm off of work.

Anywhere there was a corner, a tab of velcro went there. The trick to getting a smooth fit is to get the DashMat under tension: put the velcro on the vertical surfaces and draw the DashMat down to it. Anyplace that looks loose, another tab goes there. Just remember to really clean the dash of anything oily with rubbing alcohol where the tabs will go.
