THE 4th annual run is coming up soon this year and, I'm wanting to set a date. The last 3 years it has been on the first weekend on a Sunday of June. This year it would be on June 6th but, I checked out the mountain site and Johnston Ridge Observatory will re-open May 16th.

What date sounds better for everyone?

I missed the last 2 cause the wifie's birthday is the first week in June and i usually get roped into doing other stuff. May works better for me, but i'll do my best to make the June date. it's a cool drive.

first weekend in June is the Goonies 25th anniversary any thoughts about maybe making this the second weekend in June? I like the idea of June personally because it should be warmer and we'll have a better chance of missing the rain but I really don't want to have to choose between the two events when I really want to do both and I have a feeling as the time gets closer I wont be the only person facing this dilema.

Wow, I was literally JUST about to post the thread for this (I was searching for a photo to use).

I vote we keep it the same weekend as usual (June 6). In fact, the road might not even be open in May, IIRC.

I'm really going to try and promote this cruise this year to a variety of car owners. I'd love to make this the biggest, best cruise yet!

 

if it's the same weekend as always rather than say ONE weekend later some people are going to miss out for the goonies thing. I don't see why this can't be flexible to accommodate everyone, I'd really really hate to miss this...

 

June 6th OR June 13th??? WE all should decide so that everybody can mark their scheduales.. Both events would be awesome. More events are better

 

There is going to be stuff going on every weekend. I don't really care which weekend it is. FWIW, there's an autocross on the 13th, so I'm sure some people will want to go to that.

If people want it on the 12th, then that's fine with me. I just want to nail down a date so I can start promoting this across the Web.
