This spring when the turbos start going on, it would be nice to have a good looking vented carbon fiber hood.

The carbon fiber gas doors I've seen have either been decals, or real carbon fiber over the stock gas door. Neither are very appealing.

Maby its me, but I don't get it. Is the goal to loose weight or just make the car look ugly?

Check out the tC in the Carbon Fiber Wide Body thread and tell me if you guys think that's "ugly". Carbon done right looks awesome, IMO.

If i am gonna buy carbon fiber parts i want them to actually serve a purpose, but i do think cf hood looks BA on a white car. I would go w/ hood or a cf hatch would be pretty awesome if someone made them.

That depends on your personal sense of asthetics, now doesn't it?

There's already a CF hatch in production. Check it out in the aero forum.

Which is absoulute crap. A good CF hood will run around 250-300 bucks, and there's no where near as much material in a gas door.

Besides, CF is cheap. Over 30 bucks is too much to pay for door pillar trim, and even 200 is overpriced for a full interior trim kit...

Greedy people make me nauseated.
