Default Clutch judder on wet days

Hi All,

'04 xB, 26,500 miles, original clutch.

Recently, on cold, wet days, when I release the clutch pedal, there's some serious judder going on. On dry days, it's fine. There is no slippage and the clutch engages about the midway point of clutch pedal travel. Anyone else have this problem?

I'd ordered clutch parts (TRD), but if it's something else, I'd like to know before replacing clutch parts. Thx. in advance.

let your clutch out slower, if it is really wet or cold ur tires may be spinning a bit making it feel like the clutch is shaking

On wet days, I get wheel hop, no clutch slipping. The tires fail to grab the pavement and go hopping around like a bunny rabbit.

Thats about when mine started it , didn't have to replace clutch until she hit the 105,000 mile mark.

On cold wet days I would pump the clutch pedal with her in neutral while It warmed up a bit , after a half dozen pumps she was fine.

I have heard that is normal until the clutch warms up a bit.

Blue TC & Matt: It's definitely clutch judder as opposed to wheel hop. It also did the same thing with traction control switched off.

frogbox: Did the clutch replacement solve the problem?

Thanks, all.

My clutch judders the same way! I just release it a bit slower! What do you expect from a low priced econo-box, perfection?
