Hello all, although this is my first post, I have been surfing these forums for a long time. My problem is.... I ordered the dual halo projector headlights from 4caroption. I know that there are quite a few of us with them here. Okay, I have had them on for about three weeks and on saturday, I went out to my xB and noticed that one of the plastic covers for the halo's had fallen off, and is resting in the bottom portion of the assembly. Well I got on the phone with 4caroption yesterday, and talked to Victor Voong, ext. 122 I believe; he informed me that there is only a 7 day warranty, so he advised me pulling the light apart and using super glue to fix it myself; Since I just spent $300+ i felt that this is inadequate customer service, so I asked him who manufacturers the lights, and he said that it is a small no-named company, I asked him how they order them since that company apparently doesnt have a phone, and he said they order it from a carton in Long Beach, and guess what, that carton company doesnt have a phone either, so basically after 3 weeks of use, I now have to risk pulling the headlights apart, and possibly not be able to re-seal them. Learn from my experience. this is my first order from 4caroption, and it is guaranteed that it will be my last. Sorry about the long post, but I wanted to spread the word.... If anyone has any advice, or similar problems, please let me know! Thanks

if you used your credit card i would call them and complain that you got defective problem and the company refuses to replace them or refund you your money.
i would think that if they are DOT approved they must carry a longer warranty then that at minimum.
but i would call the CC company if one was used.
sorry to hear this and good luck!

Unfortunately I used my debit card, because otherwise I could call Wells Fargo (Who my Visa is through) and they will, up to one year after I made the purchase, I can cancel the purchase, and get my money back. I also dont think that they are DOT approved, I never recieved a card saying that they were, even though 4caroption says that they are.
And to Fireballfish if the other company that is selling them has a better warranty than it might not be a bad idea, who knows, maybe I just got a bad set?
Has anyone ever resealed a hgeadlight? Have any tips, it would all be appreciated. Thanks guys

for anyone reading this ... the headlights that he is talking about are TRASH .. they are known to have fogging issues and build quality is terrible
i know you arent super fond of the ANZO style projectors (with the eyebrow)
but having used those for my HID RETRO .. build quality is TOP NOTCH ....

what i learned?
do NOT buy headlights from companies that will not tell you who the manufacturer are.
All the companies buy from a NAMED manufacturer.
I been asking sponsors and ebayers about the headlights they carry.. only 2 ebay people have answered me.
Sorry about your lights.

I have these lights and I will not reccomend them to anybody. I am just waiting until something different comes out. I might opt for the Anzo lights and just put an eyelid over that ugly eyebrow thing.

Yes they aren't made very well. They look really good though. I was a little upset too when I got them and noticed they weren't made too well. They do have fogging issues.

When I cleared the corners on my box's head lights,I used the "bake" method. Its a lot cleaner than the "screwdriver shatter" way....BUT,you gotta do it right or else you'll have leaks...Anyway,if you decide to utilize this method of disassembly, make sure that when you re-assemble them have a few vise grips and some good silicone sealant. First,I baked @ 300 degrees for about 5-10 mins,SLOWLY & CAREFULLY pulled the housing apart, removed the amber reflector and then I added some grey silicone sealant(I used some hi-temp stuff) in the recess where the lens seats in to and re-assembled the housing...Take your time and do a good job..I then clamped the housing/lens assy. in 4 corners and various points in between and then RE-BAKED it for another 5-10 mins to allow the old sealant/new sealant to "coalesce" or to bond/blend together....LOOKS TITS!!!!

I know...I was pointing out the disassembly/assembly method i used..Although DCMCELREATH has a different reason for taking the head light apart, whats the difference if your taking it apart to fix an angel eye or to remove a reflector????
