no way. i mean, that's probably good for 1/4 mile and stuff, but not for daily driving, right?

also, it's a 1NZ-FE. that's all that matters in this forum.

That looks insane. Is there anyway to actually get that. Is that a custom job or is there some place i can buy that?

It's an open quad throttle body. Looks like this but on an echo engine.

I understand how the throttle body connects to the air intake but is there even an air intake for the quad throttle body. Does the intake connect to all four so each cylinder gets its own air from one source or does it just stay open like that without an intake?[

WOW!

Will that fit the 1NZ-FE?

If so, I will buy it!

I will anodize it in red though ;)

Thanks for the pic!

and yes, that is the whole intake system, no filters, no cold air intake tubes, just as is.

You probably get an additional 15hp from that! Especially on Scions, since the intake manifold is facing forward, giving it somewhat of a ram-air functionality....

you guys are kidding, right? this will not work without serious modification. the engine will not even run without the proper signal from the MAF sensor. and the amount of crap that will get sucked into your engine is just going to render it useless in no time as well. this might be ok for a drag or show application, but not a daily driver. not to mention that this kind of intake counters the variable valve timing on the intake cam, which would probably make your car slower since it is not receiving air the way it should. actually i made that last part up, but it sounded good.

*nod*

Totally need some serious mods to get that to work. The MAF would need to be taken out and need to be controlled with some kind of engine manament...

But not only does it add power, it looks BAD ___.. just imagine if you had 4 open throttle bodies sticking out of your custom hood. Or if you put filters on all four.. Or imagine the look of a vette owner, when you at the track with your hood open 8)

I believe it just stays just like that.

They look awesome. I saw one in person and it was on a 94 dodge neon. They cost around $8-900 for the universal version but then you gotta fabricate the rest of the ____ plus new ecu uprgrade and fuel. You get tons of power though.
