If I were to make my own cargo net. I sew. I sew weird things. I don't sew dresses or shirts, I sew costume and victorian bonnets...

So...sew... What would it look like.

Canvas/Strong Denim instead of netting? Elastic at the clip corners? or adjustable? not sure if I would use plastic or metal clasps. What kind?

Any ideas? I probably will make my own cargo net. Just want some ideas for details.

Mine will probably be made with the left over denim I have that is blue with black paw prints on it.

If it turns out well, anyone interested in custom nets?

One thing I hate about the OEM version is it does not have clips on the bottom. I have the cargo net from my Matrix and am going to mod the Scion's net soon.

What about adding narrow PVC pipe to the top and bottom lenghts to give it structure?

I used small pieces of double sided Velcro to hold the bottom down. The velcro sticks to the bottom under the mat and looks good. Keeps everything in the back end. I put about a 3 in piece of velcro through the bottom of the net in about 4 places across the bottom and stuck the velcro down.

What about modding the useless flat tire carrier to be a cargo net, I wonder how hard that would be?

I really want a cargo cover with structure that attaches with elastic.

I'd make the cargo net with hooks that you can actually attach at top and bottom.

hmm....making a cargo net for the xb would be a great idea. my mom works in a sweat shop and i think she would make a cargo net, since she made covers for cushion and stuff. i must ask...
