Ah, it's just a compliment. It's not like my car is painted Barbie Pink with a huge vinyl flower applique on the hood and CAREBEARS RACING sticker on the back window...

I wouldn't mind my xA to be painted yashio factory pink though. That color is just crazy..and even for my car to be tuned by them would be a dream..ahhh...*day dreams* :eyes:

Well, it was designed for women to begin with -- in Japan, mini cars are the favorite of mom's going shopping and around town during the day due to their size, easy of parking, and fuel economy. So over there, don't be suprised to see many xA (ist) driven by women. Naturally, over here, the 'cuteness' carried over easily and I'm sure it's a seller to the same market as well to a noticable degree. The higher seat & ride height helps many shorter women get a more comfy view as well (they'd sink down like a tub in a civic). The xA is also a better seller in Japan vs. the xB today (they've got too many box like competitors here vs. none in the USA), so the cross-SUV/Compact xA sells better in Japan (there are lots of compacts, but few that have a SUV-like look, as the designer of the ist intended). Anyways, it is a very easy car to drive, very smooth operation overall, and generally a low muscle effort car to steer and brake (vs. the Civic, where the brake pressure to stop feels like you're pushing on a stuck stone! - IMO dangerous since you shouldn't need to press so hard) -- a lot of women go for that as well - an easy touch, vs. a hard press.
Anyways, just toss on some cute Moshi Maru red seat covers and voila! Looks very nice! if you can't get pink.

Adorable, I just returned from a 7 year deployment to Japan and I'll have to say that I probably saw 3 IST's while there. However, I saw a buttload (AKA a lot) of bB's, driven by both men and women and many with various mods.
In America, we have this term of "chick car"... however that doesn't apply in Japan. I see guys driving cars that I would say to myself, "That dude is driving a chick car... wierd..." Small and.... a "cutesy" design.
and if Japanese aren't driving bB's, they're most likely driving Suzuki Wagon R's, the next coolest thing to a bB with a chick car look.

I like my small car. . . because I don't need a big ruthless car to advertise how small my genitalia is not. I'm quite confident in who I am, and don't need a car a macho car to prove it to the world. I have other means of proving MY manhood.

 That is so funny! I've never used this smiley but I had to for this! In my opinion the tC has seemingly become more of a girl's preferance at least around here anyway... I think in my neck of the woods I see 2.5 Female tC drivers to every 1 Male tC driver.

Word. Theres nothing wrong with that!

I know of one chick who digs my xA... My fiance'! She loves driving it... She also agrees that it feels so much better around the town, and the corners, than the Echo we used to have!
