I got this car couple weeks ago from local dealership. I just noticed the driver side of the hood not closing tightly. When I push the bumper up the gap is smaller. It looks ugly in person. I have my mechanic inspect it after I bought the car and he said the car should had no any accident before.
what makes it like that?? Any solution?? Please help!

if the bolts have been moved on the hinge then its ur hood , also check to make sure all the clips are in the bumper

From the pic, it looks like the hood allignment is actually off, the gap on the passenger side between the hood and fender looks more open than the drivers side is.

See if adjusting the rubber bump stops located on the radiator support do anything.

^ Yup, check those rubber bumpers first... they twist, I think clockwise is lower, counter clockwise is higher.

check the screws that hold up the bumper cover, once you lift up the hood they should be right in front of you. the rubber stoppers might be it also.

measure the gaps left and right between hood and fenders, rad support color, overspray, this will help to figure out if its been crashed at any part. you can crash a car and fix it without a paper trail.

It's just the black rubber bump stops. You'll know them when you see them. They're right in front of you when you look down at the engine bay.

Check the rubber stops and it is not the problem...its more likely a dent from the front bumper, how to fix?

Pictures of the dent? I don't see how a dent can cause that...

Thats how my hood looks like. Just like that. It got like that after my accident. I went under a ford explorer and it wrecked my driver side fender and dented my hood. I thought they replaced the hood but no they just ''fixed it''/ Check the history on your car. How does your head light sit?
