New Sensu Series Body Kit from Kreative Import Technology Inc.

We are working on the sideskirts and rear bumper now. We plan to make the kit in urethane if the response is positive. We are open to suggestions if anything should be changed as well.

IMO-the lower grill seems too plain sitting between the two curved ends of the lip, it looks out of place, but i like how the bottom corners of the lip match the design of the headlights.

i like the fact that you retained the stock grill openings, but i think the lower one could be a little larger and the lip a little less extreme, is seems to clash with the roundness of the body

we'll take pics with the oem grilles installed tomorrow. Our intent with this kit is a mild and clean design that is an alternative to the more agressive designs. We will do another tC that is wilder than this kit and will fit in between the Sensu Series and the Obsidian Series Widebody.

We also have an OEM carbon fiber lip kit as well as numerous accessories for the tC

I don't like it, to me that is not clean at all the flairs at the bottom kill it IMO.. I would of done it more like this if I wanted to keep it clean.. But hey im not a body kit builder so what do I know...

Agreed. IMO, Its a bit extreme to be "mild and clean". The idea definitely has potential, with some tweaking. Thumbs up for coming here asking for input, knowing that the responses will include both praise AND harsh criticism. Personally, I'm looking for a nice alternative to the factory kit.

We had it like that but it looked no good with the skirts. That is when we flared it out at the bottom to flow with sideskirts.

^^ just don't do skirts that stick out and are all complicated n ____ if you want a clean look, I personally don't like front bumpers that flare out like that at the bottom, no classy cars have features like that.

Make sure the two holes on each side fit some popular piaa fog lights. Don't want it to be like the OEM where we can't find a fog light to fit there.

The more flair you add to these pieces, the wider the wheel (or the higher the offset) needs to be to look right. I can't tell you how many other cars I see with flaired out kits and narrow ___ wheels.

we are tapering the flared bottom down a little bit but not like the original pics b/c the sideskirts would not flow with the front bumper.

Nearly every body kit flares out some at the bottom so that the skirts don't have to go straight down to the ground.

We'll post pictures of the front bumper and skirts on tuesday with the revisions and go from there.

We also have an xB vented prototype hood I am finishing which I'll share pics of on tues/wed

examples of kits that have a flared lower lip.

what i really want is a black widow kit for the tC

English
02-18-2005, 07:14 AM
All of those except for the last 4 didn't have anything like what you planned, but they are all great kits except for the last for. All the other flares are really mild, stick with that plan and you'll be golden

tCtunerZ
02-18-2005, 09:28 AM
Take into consideration, white bumpers with flash. Defined lines that they can see, we can’t really see from the image. I agree with adding a flare on the bottom, the stock tC bumper curves in giving the tC the narrow look. With a lip the tC is blocked off a little more. Notice on the BMW… doesn’t curve in a much as a stock tC but the lip extends out further? I say curve the bumper in a little and make a spoiler for the bottom. The bumper now is subtle and clean… not too aggressive, but with a spoiler on the bottom would make a night and day effect on the tC.

Kreativeimport,

Out of all the cars you posted only four of them I seen as somewhat "Clean" looking designs.. The other cars with flairs you posted were pretty extreme... Even at that the flaired cars posted seemed to flow better where as the tCs looks choppy like so...

This picture shows exactly what I referring to. Even with a big meaty wheel/tires combo, that flair would still stick out. Just my opinion, but if you want to make the car look wider, this will not accomplish it. It will just make the wheels/track look narrower. But again, thumbs up for looking to the customer for input. [/quote]

Agreed. I didn't have the bumper either, but I had the exact car. I loved my Stratus, but it was typical Dodge crap. I bought it at 33k, and at around 80k all hell broke loose. Car just lost its' will to live. Thousands of dollars later, it threw its' transmission on the drive home from work.

So very happy I bought the tC.

That bumper isn't bad, but that's a poor job of color matching in the photo. There were kits out that looked a lot better for the car. But then, if you're going for the Touring Car look--which they actually were, in the early 90's--it looked pretty good with 18" rims.

Also, KreativeImport did indeed ask for suggestions. And incidentally, they're not 'Spy Shots' if the company producing the kit is posting the photos up online. But I'm splitting hairs.

The kit's looking good, it's nice and low-key while stil being an appearance improvement.

I agree that the flared sides are a little much, and it would look better with a straight drop down.

I could even do without the lower side vents. If they aren't large enough to accomidate fog lights, why are they there?

I love that revised bumper. A lot. You've matched the bottom air inlets to run with the lines of the headlights, you've fixed the flaring issue at the bottom of the wheel well, and it has a clean, flowing look without being gaudy. This is a great bumper.

Will you be making a corresponding rear bumper and/or side skirts?

yu konw for the front bumper. i know its revised and evrtyhing but the front bumper doesnt flow. it looks very similar to stock bumper but maybe twisted around with. hvae the two air inlets from each side flow together all the way across the bumepr, that might clean up the act.

I like the kit but didn't quite like the front so i pulled it out a little more, it's smooth now but I think it looks too stock. meh :| After trying it this way it's just too plain and the original kit is better, it's nice and not too loud like most kits. Of note, besides changing the front lip in this photo, I added some color, reduced the flair by the wheel, got rid of the tow hitch and cleaned up the rough edges where the grill goes.

Yeah, i photoshopped one of the black and white pics to see what it would look like if the center lip exteneded to be flush with the sides. I don't like it as much as I thought I would cause it seems too stock. Mainly I wanted a kit that looks good but still somewhat stock and so i was experimenting. I think with the lip extended it looks to similar to the stock.
