Ok so 9am on some idle Tuesday my neighbor calls me in need of my car to take him and his son to the dentist cus his car is in the shop. Were going down towards the high school and something hits my car so hard that me and my passenger (a man in his 50's) jump out of our seats and are like..."WTF was that?" :eyes: I pulled over, assuming that i hit something low that i didnt and I was going to see a huge dent. Due to the loudness of the impact it wasnt a small thump. To our disbelief, right over the passenger seat were two dents in the roof. Wasnt driving under trees, wasnt driving past trucks or anything with ice on the roof. I was just toolin down the road going 35 or 40mph. My dealer said that he thought it must have been something from an airplane but the auto body shop said it would cost me $$660 to fix. :x Any ideas as to what it might have been? Happen to anyone? All I know is that it had to come straight down to hit the roof since the box is so square.

I there are no chips or creases in the roof, I would suggest checking with a paintless dent removal company in your area. Also, it may have been from crows or some other large bird, they drop walnuts on cars and the street to break them open to eat them. I know that sounds very strange, but they do that all the time when you live around neighborhoods with walnut, almond, or pecan trees.

wow that really sucks.

yeah depending on the size of the dent and how clean it is, give paintless dent removal a buzz. we had them come over all the time taking dents out of the customer cars in the shop. which consisted of BMW's Ferraris and Maseratis. their work is flawless and youll save a lot of money

thanks guys..great idea- I dont thinnk they are walnut dents per say because unless they fell from extremely high in the sky at rapid speeds they never would have made the sound they did at impact. It seriously sounded like i hit a tree. So strange..

I had a hawk or a owl hit right about head high on the windshield the other night. Good enough for me to scream like a girl and duck so that I need to see a chripractor.

Wonder if maybe a hawk or something dived bomb ya, or maybe you were abducted by aliens or something and that is the only clue? Did it take extra time to get where you were going? Like a one hour trip took like three hours or something? Just a try!!! :silly:

Wow, I don't know what that may have been... Are you in a cold climate? Could be kids snowballing you. Trust me, at high speeds, an icy snowball could make a LOUD noise and make a nice dent too. I woud imagine someone threw something at your car, but what it was you may never know.

The roof on the box is very suspect for denting easily. I went through an auto car wash the other day and the high power blow dryers were causing the roof on my box to visually travel up and down like a trampoline. Seriously, I was freaked out as I watched my dome light going up and down like a yo-yo! It sounded like an earthquake inside. When I got out I was CERTAIN that my roof would be all dented in, but there was no damage. Still, this was definately not NORMAL!
