Default Dezod Piping Fitment?

So I recently went turbo, and even before the install when I did a mock-up, I noticed the front bumper wasn't fitting correctly?

It seems as if the intercooler piping is sitting before the fog light housings and pushing the front bumper out, not allowing the bumper to fit correctly.

Has anyone had any issues with this?

I have installed 2 dezod kits and I could not get the piping to sit perfect, close but still not perfect

A buddy of mine also has a dezod kit that he installed and he eventually went full custom to get it to fit right

All the kits im talking about are the old ones with SS piping, I dont know how the new aluminum kit fits

Damnit..lol..

Not too sure what I'm going to do..

What did you do to have to get them to fit semi-correct when you installed them?

My dezod S1 kit fit perfect. I actually still have all the piping in my garage if you need any. If so PM me.

Maybe you don't have them in the couplers far enough?

Leave all the t-bolt clamps loose on all the connections and see if you can wiggle the couplers in a position that pulls the piping back. That may alleviate your fitment problem.

I'm gunna check it out as we speak..

It's weird..when I was doing the mock up..when I had piping coming off one side of the intercooler..it fit perfect.

But as soon as I run the other side, it pushes both sides out...wtf.

Bdis..I'll let you know if I can't figure anything out.

Oh, and another fitment issue I had..
The intake pipe coming off the turbo wouldn't clear the pipe that goes to the throttle body.

I ended up rigging it to fit, but the piping was a PIA to fit half way descent.

I did leave all the t-bolt clamps loose until I finished the install and thought it would fit correctly..hmm.

I'll look everything over.

Is the turbo properly clocked? Can you mount the intercooler any further back?

I know 2 of the pipes on my S1 kit look the same but go in different places. Check that out. Its the pipes to and from the IC that bend around the tow hooks in front. If I remember correctly.

Yes the turbo is properly clocked.
And I couldn't get the turbo to mount any differently.

That's the first thing I tried when I mocked everything up.

yea I had to move the pipes around. It took alititle while to get the front bumper to fit. The one pipe on the drives side still doenst fit the best because it is right up against the bumper.

Has anyone had any issues with this?

My boy use to have a Dezod Stg. 1 before he wrecked his tC. He had the same issue as well. He called me over to lend a hand. He is really picky and there was no way we could figure a way to make it perfect. So to make it perfect, we ended up cutting a good 3 to 4 inches off the cold side pipe I believe it was. After that the bumper fit perfect and he was good to go.
