The retail price is 100 bucks.. that kills everything cause the adapter thing is about 40-50.. geez.

I wouldn't say it's a ripoff. More like expensive. But your not going to find anything that lets you control your ipod from a head unit for less then 100 bucks. This one works with the stock head unit so you'd expect to pay a premium. If you had an aftermarket unit you'd still be paying 100 or so dollars IN ADDITION to the head unit.

 

If the stock deck has an AUX input with RCA Jacks then you can buy this Monster Cable for $30. It plugs into the head phone jack on the ipod. My aftermarket deck has the AUX in. Right now I use this cable in the house and it's great.

OK i just called toyota and ordered teh harness for 17 bucks.. so does that mean that the place i called in NY was wrong about the adapter with ipod cable only costing about 40-50 bucks???? Im so confused cause mp3yourcar.com has this ipod thing for 189 w/o harness.. and others have it for 200 with harness.. What gives? Where can i find the best info?

 

ok i think that place in Ny was drunk.. it is 180 or more then the harness, then teh install.
