How do I remove this plastic piece for painting purposes? I have the door panel already out. Thanks for your input.

There should be 3 or 4 clips you have to squeeze inwards to release. Atleast, that's what I remember. Be careful not to squeeze too hard. I broke one of my clips.

its easiest to just pull of your door panel. than you can just pop it out.

otherwise you will be fighting the wiring while trying to hold the panel out or in place.
