I'm tryong to decide whether or not to set the passive arming. I'd like to set it, in case I forget to press lock (unlikely) or I accidentally hit unlock putting my keys in my pocket. the thing that kind of turns me away from it, is that the manual says you MUST put the key in and turn it to on within 15 or 30 seconds, whichever I set it at. is anyone currently using passive arming? my car stays in a not-so good part of town all day while I'm at school, and I don't want anything to happen to it. it's my baby <3
thanks in advance.

I thnk you should set it...i have mine set and the one time i locked my keys in my car I was extremely fortunate. I left the sunroof open and the glove box open (which houses my valet key). I was able to take a clothes hanger, straighten it out and stick it through the sunroof to fish my keys out of the glove box.

its well worth it if its "your baby"

do you have to put in the key right away? or will unlocking remotely disable the alarm?

I don't use the passive arming, but I noticed that if I accidently press the unlock button,
the doors will automatically relock after about 30 seconds unless I open one of the doors.
