Default 2010 Removing Emblems

Sorry if this is posted somewhere, but I couldn't find an answer. I already removed the tC emblem from the back of my 2010, but am not sure how to deal with removing the Scion emblem under the brake light. #1 are there posts on the emblem that will leave holes? and #2 it's recessed, so what do I do about an empty space in the trunk (I've seen some people say they replaced that panel)?

Yes, it will leave a big **** hole from the emblem. They sell new ones without the hole on eBay in regular plastic that you have to get painted, or carbon fiber. You can also take your current one to a body shop and get the hole filled.

Another thing you can do is put a Toyota emblem where the Scion one was.
There are many answers to this question, just search a bit and I'm sure you'll find what you want to do.

The thing is that I don't want any emblem at all Scion or otherwise. I want it to be clean which is why I looked around for just that panel because I also don't want an empty recess back there.

Then get the panel off eBay or take it to a body shop. Easy as that.

I should have been more clear since I'm really interested in the panel. Anyone know what it's called to be able to look for one?

No problem. Seach "Scion tC Trunk Handle" on eBay for a couple more of them.

i would take yours to a body shop. my .02.

ebay sellers could do the same exact thing as a previous seller on here did. after a while, the hole sunk back in and it looked horrendous.

if you take it to a local shop, generally they will honor their work. whereas ebay won't.

^ The new garnishes on eBay are made without the emblem in the first place.

If I understand what you're saying, it sounds like you think they're overlays. The ones I've found are complete replacements of the hatch handle.
