Was doing oil change today, on my 93k mile '06 xA.

I noticed it was very "wet" around the transmission, toward the firewall side.

Appears to be oil, or at least, smelled like it.

Engine cradle was wet, one of the boots on the transaxle was wet, along with partial undercarriage.

It's been sitting in the garage for the past week, and there is not anything that has dripped on the floor.

I could not tell where it came from, but was wondering if anyone had any suggestions as to what/where this is coming from?

I, unfortunately, did not check the oil level before draining, but tranny fluid was fine, along with power steering.

i would clean everything off and and just see if u can spot where its coming from

yeah, that is my next recourse... was just looking to see if this has been a common problem, or at least, something that someone has seen before.

If I did not use it for a 240 mile/day commute, I would not worry about it that much, but it's a lot of miles till the weekend, to look at it.

It smelled, and looked like oil, but was on the back side of the transmission, covering the cv joint boot. Nothing on the bottom of the motor or transaxle was wet, just on the side of the transaxle, facing the firewall.
