Default Rockville/Gberg/Bethesda/Germantown???

Anyone in the Gaithersburg/Germantown/Rockville area with a TC sitting on S-Techs or TRD's or even Racelands? Wanna get a test ride before I order new suspension stuff. I had S-techs on my I35 but that is a bigger heavier car that didn't handle for squat anyway.

Someone let me know. I can meet up at lunch or one evening or something. Common, help a brother out!

Sucks, TRD's will provide better handling but don't sit as low as I want. S-techs may sit too low and give me some drive way issues and a rough ride. Racelands will give me whatever height I want at the cost of ride/handling...

So what I am hearing is that no one in my AO has their TC lowered or everyone thinks I am some sort of serial killer! Surely someone around here has TRD's on their car.

Went with Htechs. Hoping to install over the next couple of days if the wife will simply leave me alone and give me the time to do it! It's killing me at this point knowing that I have them sitting in the garage just waiting!!!!!!

No worries man! I was hoping to do it this afternoon but of course the wife had me running around. I went ahead and started getting everything set up though. I dug out the air compressor, jack and stands. I also tore out all of the rear interior so the only think I have to do is the 4 screws in the speaker enclosure (couldn't lose the sound). So my plan is to hit it tomorrow afternoon when I get off work. I may leave work early since there isn't much on the schedule but we will see. I think I can do it but keep an eye on the phone just incase i need to call out for help! thanks for the offer. I think it should go pretty smooth.

I am quite excited at the moment. It will finally look like a fairly cool car now that the windows are tinted and it will be sitting lower!

So what you are saying is that you don't want to come if Cburg doesn't????

Seriously, If you want to swing by, you guys are more than welcome to. Extra hands never hurt and normally make things go by faster! PM me and I will shoot you my address and phone number.

Same goes for your cburg! There may be some kids running around (not just mine) but others that my wife watches after school (day care)

uhsentc, I saw the post when it hit my blackberry but it isn't here now. When I say kids, I mean "children". Mine are 11 and 5, all girls yes, but unavailable! Now if you want to go out with the wife, just keep in mind that it is a package deal and the "children" come with her! :^)

PM sent btw.

Sorry man, I think there has been some confusion. I am doing the install today around 4:30 or so when I get home. I will be out at soccer games tomorrow around that time. Sorry. If you can make it by great but no hard feeligns if you can't.

DONE!!! OMG I am so frickn happy!

THANKS to CBURGlb34 (Martin). Your the man!

Don't get me wrong, I have swaped springs before but having someone there that has done it on this exact car makes things go so much quicker. We got started probably right around 5 and finished around 7:45. The fronts were a breeze and the rears took a little longer. Definitely a good idea to have a helper with you. Between standing on the brake disc and working together to get the interior pieces back in it just goes quicker! An impact gun is much appreciated though it can be done with out one.

Since my springs are used there really is not much settling time. I will say that I wish the rear sat a little lower but I can go in and out of my driveway with no problems. The suspension is stiffer and there is less roll. Sway bar will be next on the suspension mod list. For now, I am quite happy!

I will try to get the car washed up tomorrow and get a picture of it up on here finally.

Thanks again man! I can't imagine having my wife help me out with this. Especially since she appears to be a little irritated today for what ever reason. Probably for me modding the car in general!

BTW, I installed Htechs incase anyone missed that.
