I haven't really been on this site that much.. Was active when I first bought my car. Won't be around much after this either..

Yesterday while headed to work, I lost control from a slick piece of pavement. And spun around and ended up into a tree. This happened on the Santa Rosa Rd. Off Ramp of the 101 southbound, In Camarillo.

I spent a lot of time just making this car to my liking. To which I was done with back in January. It kind of broke my heart to see it at the tow lot, knowing that it's probably done for. :(

Here are some pics..

Awh. :(

Maybe someone on SL could salvage it. Maybe a converted front end?

I would love to know more about the accident...I know it was raining yesterday in LA so i am assuming it had to do with the wet roadways? Any speeding involved...? Very unfortunate that it happened...also, did the airbags deploy?

Actually I was coming off the exit. This Exit in Camarillo is a very fast/short corner. Like go from 65 to 30 in a few hundred feet. I hit a wet spot and just spun around. And ended up in a tree.

I drove my girl friend home an hour earlier and it was dumping the rain. So I wasn't going to drive like an ___ in the least bit, in those conditions.

yeah, just google mapped it and it does look like a sharp turn. look at the bright side though, at least you weren't traveling north bound down the grade. That grade is treacherous, especially with wet roads and the high volume of traffic (esp. them semis).

The car is definitely a total loss. But the insurance payout was surprising. Didn't know our car's hold their value so well. Anyways. The only thing I took from the car was my amp and subs. Everything else; Swaybars, springs, tires, wheels, exhaust and intake still remain on the vehicle. All the wheels were damaged previously from curbing. And the suspension components would have taken for ever to get off the car. Especially the front one. It sucks to let go of everything that I put so much time and labor in. But ____ happens. And I move on. Next Vehicle looks like it will be an 04 VW GTI.

I am helping my buddy rebuild his 02 GTI, they are fun cars and very quick, which will be a big change from the slow box, did the insurance company just give you blue book for the box or did they also add in all your aftermarket parts?

They just checked around what other dealers were selling it for. Since I never insured the other parts. I lose out on it. I still owe money on the car though, so it's enough to get a new (used) car, and pay the rest of the loan off. So I get a quicker car, and no longer have to make payments on a vehicle. The situation just seems like win/win. Even though my box is dead.

hmm, interesting turn of events. at least you do get the faster car and no car payment. you can always get the box in the future as a secondary "trick out" car when you can afford it.

Didn't get the car I was shopping for. But found the car I wanted before I bought the box. Definitely a good handling car and a bit quicker than the box (Possibly the TC to).

Picked up a 2002 Ford SVT Focus. 51k Miles for $6,750. A Pretty good deal if you ask me. Here are some photo's that the Seller had. I will take more pics after work.

Already started looking at mods for this thing.. First thing would be tint and wheels. My buddy Steve owns a company called True Forged. He makes wheels comparable to iForged. Here is something I Photoshopped for an idea of what I have planned.
