i just put in the weapon r secret weapon intake, it threw me a cel. pretty sure i did everything right, let it idle for like 10 minutes also. anyone got anyone suggestions other than saying that they think weapon r sucks-i already bought it, so that wouldn't do me any good hearing it.

Did you wipe out the insides of it before installing? I don't know about this one specifically, but I've heard some intakes have a slight coating of oil inside and this can foul the MAF sensor. You could try cleaning the MAF with some cleaner made for electric parts and wipe the inside with a clean cloth.

Someone else had this problem recently. I think he contacted weapon r directly to find out how to fix the problem.

after you let it idle for 10 mins... did you drive it hard afterwards?

i reset the ECU and let it idle for 20 minutes, and after 45 miles, so far it seems to be working ok(no CEL). hopefully that's the problem-i didn't idle long enough for the ECU to get used to the extra air flow.

just got the CEL again. worked for 100 miles, and back on again. i just added the TRD intake(props to NYCAZN-for the ill hook up) and it went for 100 miles and came back on. i found out the the code is for the engine being LEAN. anyone have any ideas how to fix this?

the code was P0171 - system too lean.

We recently had a minor redesign to fix a lean condition CEL. Contact me about getting this issue corrected.

I just got a Weapon R Secret Weapon intake installed it on the 18th. I have put at least 130 miles on it and have no cel. The only thing I noticed is where the maf sensor installs the o-ring seems small on the intake, it might need a little thicker o-ring. This might fix your problem.
