So ive been researching and reading info regarding midpipes headers and s-pipes. Im a bit confused as to what to do next and would like some of your opinions. Right now all i have is an injen sri and trd axel-back. Im looking to add something next and im not sure what direction to go.

Ive read conflicting things regarding midpipe and header combos. Some people say that the rasp is worse when you add an aftermarket midpipe. Im not sure whether or not i should leave my stock midpipe and get a header/spipe combo. If i did would this produce more or less noise and rasp than adding an aftermarket midpipe like megan to a header and spipe combo? Or is it all the same noise and raspyness?

I know that you can add resonators to drown out teh sound and rasp some. Would this be better achieved with the stock midpipe or replacing it for an aftermarket one and adding resonators to that?

One more questions. So if i decided to just skip the header and basically replace the s-pipe and midpipe would it be very loud and raspy as well?

Thanks for any info.

a midpipe wont cause rasp, ill just make your exhaust little louder,a downpipe will also make the tone little louder but deeper.......a header on the other hand wont do much as far as power youll get more sound the performance and wound up spending money on getting bigger resanators...

what i suggest doing, just get a megan midpipe and downpipe,it wont be raspy at all, just loud but not too bad,

Yea thats the direction i was thinking of going in. I dont want to be too loud but i guess its better than loud and raspy. Im wondering if i just did header, spipe and maybe a vibrant resonator on the stock midpipe if it would still be raspy? What do u guys think?

I would just replace the spipe. the midpipe isnt that bad. i think it's 2.24 or 2.5 already.

Yes, a larger reseonator will reduce some rasp from an aftermarket header. You also need to be ready to deal with the CEL and perhaps not passing car inspection.

Will i get a CEL from an spipe and/or midpipe?

no, probably not. if you do, just install an antifouler on the sensor on the spipe.

the one main question ive been having on my mind is about 2.25" pipping. if i were to get a midpipe in that size, would it be best to have the same size s-pipe as well or go with 2.50" s-pipe?
