Hey Everyone my name is Gabe and I just got my Gen 2 XB and want to know a little more about the factory stereo. It rocks pretty good from the get go! I have the Alpine unit and I see in the menu, Sub controls and sub volume. I cannot find a sub anywhere in the car. Where do the factory subs sit in these and or do they come with a factory Sub. Also can these factory Alpine units play video? I saw something in the book about VTR? Thanks in advance.

They typically do not come with a sub. Scion sells a separate sub from bazooka. Basically if u decided to add a sub in the future that HU (headunit) will be able to control that as well.

Sup Gabe, welcome. The Alpine mentions a sub because it has RCA pre-outs if you ever decide to connect an amp and subs. Then it will be able to control the subwoofer pre-out, allowing you to adjust the bass level in relation of volume. Sometimes you want to hear the words and not just BOOM BOOM BOOM
