I've been interested in seats these days, (don't race, but like to feel comfortable
)
and was wondering how to compare if Sparco seats are real or not.
I checked some info about Bride's and their japan site actually has a section to tell if the seats are real or fake.
But for the Sparco's, no idea. Where are Sparco's made from? (ex. the tags). Seen a lot of them with made in taiwan or so. Just want to here advices from those who have authentic sparco seats or those who had one in the past.
Here are some infos regarding fake/real Bride seats.

and the japanese site to compare fake vs. real
http://www.bride-jp.com/ (on the left side w/ all the menu's, click on ●COPY商品にご注意下さい and open up the PDF files for the comparisons of real and fakes for certain types.

now are these real or fake
i just found this image and pretty much determining that this is not a genuine product

Heard that real ones had a holographic sticker where SPARCO is. I don't know if this is same for every model. Let me know

what people need to realize is that stickers mean nothing.
if they can re-produce a whole seat without you being able to tell the difference, what makes its so hard to reproduce a napac sticker or a tag? nothing.
generally, the fabric of the replica seats will be of lesser quality.
in the case of bride, they made the mistake of not registering their trademark, knockoff companies noticed this and now "brides" are made in taiwan and canada. Typically the seller will say bride is a registered trademark in taiwan or in canada. That means theyre replicas. This is why the real bride is now called Bride Japan.
Ive never heard anything about fake sparcos though.
and from what ive gathered, the knockoff seats are of the same structural quality as the authentics, however the fabric is slighty diff. Its a little bit more coarse. But some people still have their doubts as to how close the two are. No one will really know until someone buys both and cuts them up, and i dont see anyone dropping the cash to do that anytime soon.

unlike bride, everything sparco is trademarked so chances are if the sparco seat is a replica it will look the same except it will either have no logo or another logo where the sparco logo would normally be. If it does have the logo then it will either look slightly diff. or be illegal.
if your buying new, pay attention to the seller location and see where the seats are coming from compared to where they are supposed to be made.
