Does anyone know of a company making a smooth grille similar to the Open Deck grille?
I don't care about the chrome as I'd be painting it. I also don't care if it is metal, plastic, fiberglass, etc. But I don't want to spend the hundreds a real Open Deck grille goes for, only to weld up the emblem holes and paint over the chrome.

if this deal goes thru that I'm working on, i might be getting an Open Deck and I will probably be selling the grill since i dont like that grill anyways. I dont know how long its gonna take to get it though, seems its easier to get a S15 Silvia over here than it is to get a bB

A long time ago it seems there was a post with someone filling the slats and fiberglassing over the front of it. After I put my FIG grill on, I might try doing that to the stock one.

I think filling a stock grille is going to be your best bet.

I am waiting for my prototype from waterjetting, I'm doing designs in the grill (aluminum), but may offer solid versions if people want them.

How much would a solid version run? In my case I wouldn't need any polishing as it would be painted anyway.
