View Full Version : creative compacts full exhaust kit installed
lvnurs9 02-20-2005, 07:47 PM So after 2 weeks I finally got this thing installed. I have the full exhaust kit- cat back with high flow cat and borla muffler. Mine is in polished stainless steel. It looks incredibly clean and the power gain and sound are incredible as well. I have never been a big fan of exhaust, but this one pleased me. The sound is deep and loud...but not obnoxious. I am working on trying to get a nice sound clip, but I can't make any promises. It's not like a mustang :P I will post pictures in a little bit- I am at work. The dyno is soon to follow.
cq107 02-20-2005, 08:11 PM I like your car, I just orderd a CF hood today lol. I'm interested in your sound clips, cause I took off my muffler and put a little turn down on. I can make some clips tonight and post them here as well..
xmetalx 02-20-2005, 08:37 PM awsome can you post a link for this part, and get back to us with sound and dyno!
nchyflyer 02-20-2005, 10:11 PM yes PLEASE post those sound clips guys!!
lvnurs9 02-20-2005, 10:56 PM I have to GET the sound clips first lol. Hopefully by next week or so. I have a lot of school crap going on. I'll get the dyno then too.

cq107 02-20-2005, 11:41 PM mp3s:
2nd gear from about 2k rpm (http://jaguar.ir.miami.edu/~jjuroch/scion/2ndgear.mp3) <-- click
and
from a stop (http://jaguar.ir.miami.edu/~jjuroch/scion/accelfromstop.mp3) <--click (the mic clipped pretty hard, I accidently reset the input volume after the first recording  )
also notice the part throttle/full throtle 1st gear due to the re92's doing what they do best: burning rubber. 0-60 could probably get down to 7.0 - 7.2 easily with better tires.
Joe_Dezod 02-21-2005, 12:28 AM Sounds great. If you could score some exterior clips that'd be killer. Nice work.
cq107 02-21-2005, 12:48 AM yea... thats going to take some work... lol, too much wind noise with the windows down, or even the sunroof open.
I will have to find a road with no one on it, drop off friend and laptop and then fly (er drive) by...
nchyflyer 02-21-2005, 02:57 AM the exhuast sounds AWESOME!! Definatly gonna save up for that :D :D
cq107 02-21-2005, 04:01 AM uh that was my mufferless setup($40), I wanted to hear the difference between the full setup and mine ;)
lvnurs9 02-21-2005, 06:56 PM Here are some pics. I am not the smartest lil thing...we forgot to take some while we had the car jacked up so they are not the best, but you get the idea.

lvnurs9 02-21-2005, 07:05 PM Ya I tried to get one but it was just reving it. Give me a week and I will try to get a nice one.
bashar05 02-21-2005, 07:44 PM How much did that setup cost?
lvnurs9 02-21-2005, 07:59 PM $587.50 + $93.75= $681.25 plus shipping which I believe was $40.
Stu_Gotti 02-22-2005, 02:14 AM Looks good girl... You still need some damn rims though. Save some money!
lvnurs9 02-22-2005, 03:19 AM hey stu hows it goin?

BrianxB 02-22-2005, 05:31 PM nice alexis, im ____ed that i didnt put it on...
IndigoDreams 02-22-2005, 06:36 PM old skool exhaust connectors...HEHEHEHE
lvnurs9 02-22-2005, 06:46 PM Hey Brian you can help adjust the tip for me :)
lvnurs9 02-22-2005, 06:46 PM oh and weld it too hehe
CreativeCompacts 02-23-2005, 03:02 AM Install took us less than 45 min... We should be able to get Alexis's car on the dyno within the next week or so... Car seemed to have opened up alot when I tested it up to about 110 mph :) hehe but it really needs a header to show a huge gain on the exhaust. I am very thrilled at the quality and how well the kit flows versus some of the competition exhaust systems I have seen out and coming out since we released our exhaust.
SupaWhiteTc 02-24-2005, 02:27 PM I will be welding that muffler on when mine gets here this week. I don't do clamps those suck. I didn't know it clamped that kinda sux.
lvnurs9 02-28-2005, 04:15 PM Ok dyno has been done. I will leave it to James to post the graph and exact figures. The exhaust increased the hp from our baseline pull by 7-8hp. We maxed at 144hp and 153 torque. Our baseline was 137. The baseline was with intake and what we did this morning was with intake and exhaust.

All pulls were in THIRD gear
