Default So I have a tiny chip on the rear door...

yeah. I was removing the scion badge with a heat gun and my fingers, and when I get it off and the double stick tape all cleaned up, there was a damn chip!!! what should be done to fix it? it is about 1/8" square, not all that noticable, but it annoys me knowing it's there. I was thinking about ordering touch-up paint, if it is available, but all the touch-up jobs i've seen came out really crappy. please let me know what my options are.

one trick you can do ( besides repainting the panel wich is the proper thing to do ) is get some basecoat in your color and touch it up, let it dry, wetsand it, and repeat this process until the chip is really close to being filled. at that point, brush in some clearcoat, let it dry then wetsand and polish it. imo when you just glob in some touch up paint, it ends up looking like crap. this is about the best way that i have found to touch up something so it looks half way descent. hope this helps

any idea where I can get this basecoat? I've been considering just adding this chip to the tally... I already have one more on the front.

your local bodyshop would probably give you a little if they had it. or charge you a small amount for mixing up a tiny bit. you dont need very much
