Ok I have looked around, but haven't found a definitive answer. I want to take my stock 6" sub out and replace it with an amped tube. I should be able to splice into the factory harness (for the stock sub) and run it from there correct? I am using the stock HU, non premium.

depending on the attached amp, you may be able too

 

yes you can splice into the stock harness . but i think it is better for you to do it from the head unit with a rca converter
