Default Huge curb= damaged underbody.

So I had an incident at school with this huge curb that juts out of the exit to the parking lot that I was turning out of. It was completely my fault as I did not see the curb after trying to negotiate the turn. I was trying to pull out to the side to speak with my friend (in another car). Turns out the damage looks pretty bad. Rim and tire look fine a few scratches nothing too major at all. The body is what concerns me.

It is such an eye sore and I'm still real angry, but I gotta wait it out and weigh my options.
I don't have tons of money to toss around and from what it looks like I have a couple options that I can think of.
So far my plan is to take it to a body shop on monday to get an estimate. Thing is that I am moving back down to Southern California from Seattle in a little over a month. I could get this repaired up here in Seattle or wait till I get back down to Cali where I have some friends that manage a body shop where they could get me a significant discount. I feel that the thing that bothers me most is the fact that the damage is there and I just can't stand it. If the estimate is around 500 then I think I can just pay for that out of pocket. Otherwise I gotta wait to move back home. What do you guys think? Anyone with experience of a similar incident?
Thanks

The damage looks like it can easily be covered up with a lip kit.

I think it's a darned shame ! Definitely primer it ASAP -- takes no time at all for rust to start.
