Finally... getting S-techs. =]
After talking to a dude about selling my tail lights, since he was getting rid of his tc, and he was in need of stock ones... he decided to not buy.
but no biggie they are just tails.
but anyways...
he offered to sell his s-techs for a super duper good amount.
i just said super duper cuz its less than 50 bucks lol.
i was originally going to buy h-techs but many of you guys on this forum are doing alright with the s-techs.
if you guys can give me some pros and cons with them that would be ___-some.
(my tC is my Daily btw, and coilovers are out of reach cuz im always broke lol)
thanks guys!!!!

are you going to install it yourself? if not it will cost you about $250 for install and $80 for alignment. since you said you broke so make sure you have the money for it. lol
I have H tech, S tech is too low for the stock struts and shocks to handle.

i love my s-techs. i have them mounted on new stock struts, its been i think mayeb a few thousand miles since ive had them on maybe less. just dont expect the stock struts/shocks to last very long, hell i know this but dont care LOL.
better handling then stock ofcourse but not better then if you were to go with TRD's or Eibach's etc.
BTW just make sure there REAL tein's. theres been many replicas of stechs. its on the TEIN website where you can distinguish the two.
heres my car on S-techs. BTW older model stechs tend to go lower then newer batches IDK why? but they are.

Idk, flint... I dont think you're lower than me. Maybe it's my pictures that make me seem to sit higher?

Hmmm.. either way... looks great, as always, flint.
But think about a few things, SighOnPhresh. What kind of wheels you are running, and whether or not you're going to want to go lower. They're great springs, but most people who get them want to go low. Which means that once they put them on, it isn't low enough. But for $50 bucks, thats a steal.

it could be, idk to be honest with you. maybe its certain batches?? ive also heard from a few people that newer stechs sit higher then older stechs, that could be bc of sag though. mine arenst sagegd though.
could just be honestly

stechs are definitely for show only, handling will be no better then stock, and like its been said, the life of the struts will be greatly reduced, although you can just upgrade shocks later on to some tokicos or kyb's when stocks do go back, but for 50 bucks i would definitely get them!
Ohhh yea for a second i thought u guys meant FOR SHOWS ONLY...
but its for show...as in... for looks lol.
but yea im not worried about the handling it is just for looks is why i want em... =]
do u guys have an estimate time that my struts will go bad?
ive racked up 22k on my car already.

there's a difference in handling compared to stock, ofcourse not like sumthing less aggressive but still better.
well u have 22k that's not bad at all. should last you awhile I say about 20k miles or so aslong as you don't hit potholes or bumps and avoid all that it should last awhile
