The seems were fine in my XB after 18K miles. There was one little frey on the passenger seat where it looks like a button or something sharp got caught, then pulled up from the seat.
Nothing major, just annoying. The overall shape held up very well.

it seems that the really soft foam would wear really quickly, but that doesn't seem to be the case.

I have 3000 miles on my xb and the seats still look new. Granted, that's not much mileage though. I'm going to get a leather kit this year or next year so I don't really mind if the seats wear now.

The seats are still in good condition. the cloth part that you rub first thing entering the vehicle is slightly worn but not noticable, after 33k miles. The cushions are still firm.

Go leather! It will cost some $$'s but well worth it. Shop around and do front first then backs, whatever works on your budget.

Wow, now i see that several people are having the same issue i brought up last Oct. In my box, the drivers side seat bottom looked like a speed bump was installed after i got out of it. Im a big guy, ( 6'2" @225#s ) but common, im not that big. Long story short, i brought it to the dealer last year, and was deneyed any way of fixing it. With all that was going on over the past few months, i just let it go. One day, out of the blue, Scion Corp. called about a questioniare i filled out when i bought the box, and complained about the suspension being too stiff. I told then about the seat, so the regional guy looked at it last Tues. What he had the dealer do is to undo the HOG RINGS on the underside of the seat, and restretch the fabric. It looks better now, but well see what it looks like in the future. I did notice that if it was hot out, or if i sat in the seat for an extended period of time, the "speed bump" would be more pronounced. Like i said, well see. The regional guy said that there isnt much more he can do, including replacing the seat. For his sake, i hope so. Otherwise, ill have to talk to his boss personally.

I never understood why we ( Scion owners ) have to "deal"with the little problems like the seats, or the floor mats. Hopefully Scion Corp. isnt slacking when it comes to customer satisfaction. Hopefully.

the general shape of my seats are still great after 22k in 9 months, and i'm 6'4" 260. the only problem i ran into is the corners of the pockets on my favorite pair of shorts was a little too abrasive for the soft delicate cloth on the center sections of the seats and really made the fabric quite fuzzy and frayed on 1 3x3" section.
