View Full Version : which lowering springs
datrickster24 02-22-2005, 12:31 AM Im thinking of lowering my car next and I was wondering which springs i should get. I want to lower it between 2-2.5 inches. I heard H&R is a good company, if any of you guys have your cars lowered around 2 inches or have H&R springs. Some info or tips would be helpful, thanks.

NERD_BOX 02-22-2005, 12:45 AM My boy just dropped his tC on Goldline springs and is running 19's! Hasnt rubbed yet, and handles nice. Goldline gives a 2" drop front and rear! Good price too! I even have them on my xb and i love them! Its the exact same setup as this one.

tanlogic 02-22-2005, 02:55 AM They look like these:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=7955391373&category=43959
But going to the AXIS site - I dont see the same exact ones...similar but not exact although they look like the ones in the pic there. Aren't tCs also 5x110? - Ebay ones look like a good deal.

kutsuju_dj 02-22-2005, 03:10 AM the factoy shocks on the tc are actually holding up pretty nice... and my drop is probably the lowest out there.... when i had the factory tires on i had a smooth ride, since i moved to the lo pros the the ride has been a lil rougher....

SupaWhiteTc 02-23-2005, 03:31 AM I have Gold Lines and they are awesome. I recommed them. Check out my TC in the Gallery, just type in my Name on there.
TougetC 02-23-2005, 10:49 AM goldline is an okay spring. i wouldnt recommend sprints, and im actually not fond of the Tein S-tec, its not a good sport spring. it was machined for cost effectiveness and looks. not ride quality or performance. stick with TRD. they were made by eibach. cant go wrong there.

is that so? i've only heard good things about the tein s-tech's, at least when it comes to ride quality.
gqdabien 02-25-2005, 07:02 AM Sprints sag too much in the back.. and i am scarping on anything imaginable.
Will the goldline's have a higher clearance all around than springs?
Where can i purchase these goldlines for 150 shippped?

BlueChip 02-25-2005, 07:07 AM I haven't had any experience with lowering springs before, so I need some good advice. Are there any lowering springs in the market that can lower your tc AND make the ride better than if you stuck with the stock springs? I would like to lower my tc a little bit, but would like the ride to be smoother as well. Was thinking of getting the TRD springs but I'm not sure exactly how that would improve/stiffen the ride.
240SXtoTC 02-25-2005, 03:08 PM anyone have a side-view pic of a tC with the TRD springs (1" drop)? I have until tomorrow to add any options to my ride and have it included in the payments.
having trouble deciding since I don't know how low it really looks.
HyperZ 02-28-2005, 05:47 AM Any spring kits that aren't progressive??
redley78 03-07-2005, 06:24 PM I just put TRD springs on my TC over the weekend. ( 125 for springs/ 80 bucks installed)The ride is just as good as it was before the drop imo. Alignment is still perfect too. i recommend these springs if your concerned with ride quality.. the drop could be a little more tho, im gonna get some 18" wheels...that will make it look better. hopefully the springs will settle a lil more in the front.

I saw that tC pulling into the parking lot at the Gallaria Mall the other weekend! It's a total head turner! I did a triple take. Seeing that car is what made me decide to get the tC instead of a used MR2 Spyder! Nice work, specialist.
